  1. I agree Scully could offer REACH a whole lot, the guy doesnt drink, focused on his goals, ultimate proffessional etc Trouble is Jims link between REACH and the MFC These 3rd party deals need to come from places not linked or openly linked with MFC, they need to seem independant, i think this is the major rule change not against 3rd party deals just JUDD like dodgy outside the cap payments for not much with links
  2. Coulsnt see this written but Robbo was just talking to the OX on SEN, Latest is Scully had a 3rd party deal knocked back i gather, missed half the story... to work for Jim Stynes Reach foundation, was to be worth 200K per year Exact replica of the Judd deal, Robbo commented on how the AFL only announced yesterday of the new rules and how he hadnt heard this until then etc, also how it seems the AFL is on a mission to get Scully to GWS, also talk of how it affects salary caps etc But yeah main point apparently MFC have had a 200K 3rd party deal knocked back...
  3. The trouble is, imo all the experience and top echelon coaches come out this year, if you give Bailey an extension it is because he is the man for the job, we will only get another untried coach at this stage next season, This year, Malthouse, Clarkson, Lyon available Next year nobody Also no coach of note has signed an extension this year because so many are out of contract they can leverage there position when offers and interest come in
  4. Are you saying this is what DB said?? he has signed an extension?
  5. Maybe because Scully is the best young talant in the competition and they would be stupid not to want him, have an offer for him, i can name 16 other clubs that would want him.....
  6. Ok Binman i wont quote the whole post but i feel sorry for you if you think that Scully will end up at Collingwood, i cant see it happening in anyway shape or form. Also Thomas is un-contracted isnt he so GWS would just take him... they arnt going to be nice to Collingwood by any stretch Also that Twitter guy who said his friend knew about Travis Tucks strikes, i dont know, my impression was that not even Andrew Demetrui knew about the strikes until three had been hit...maybe im very wrong here I will also point out that alot of people have come and gone, the previous fad was the "Scully has already signed 100% pen on paper signed" they cant say this now, so other crap is coming out, some people need attention and chronically lie, this is the impression i get from people who claim they have a mate in the know etc Tom hasnt and wont sign until post season end rant
  7. I turn up and read it, but nobody has added anything constructive in over a fortnight (or more).... honestly stop your bickering and talking clear as day shite if you have news or an article fine but otherwise your just being disruptive etc really
  8. Would be hard to fit into that midfield for jack, alot of quality Wingard and Whitfield on half forward etc
  9. O'meara by all reports has nominated for the draft (as of this week), that is what it is, a draft so he is up for grabs he understands he can go ANYWHERE, WC and Freo supporters start these rumours about kids staying in WA every year regarding the top WA talent He is of the ilk of Cotchin and Swallows etc - EVERYBODY will be after him Collingwood wont risk giving up 2 guns during there window but we can offer two players who cant cut it in our team? how does that work Everybody can give up the goods, dont be fooled i wouldnt be surprised if north put up Hamish Macintosh O'Meara and Whitfield will be like recruiting top 5 picks i cant wait until the guns are drawn because it will be some of the biggest trading every imo, What you need to ask is what would you need to offer to receive a top five pick in any draft, not a Bate and Dunn combo, it will be a first rounder and quality player or two first rounders etc
  10. Everybody saying Trengove and Mckenzie are Scullys equals are fooling themselves, both great players and will be A graders Also since Scully's return he has been FAR superior to Trengrove, easily imo
  11. Colin Sylvia will be coming second or third in the bluey atm and people dont think he is worth it lol....who is? So many MFC supporters keep saying dont pay him that hes not worth it oh he isnt that good he isnt the games best player blah blah blah....He has been great considering 3 of the last 4 years we have been 16 16 12.... obviously lacks quality around him. Coming into the peek of his career obviously he wants a great deal, it will be his last great deal, and he is playing a career best season, not because he has starred a couple of times because he hasnt been in the best twice No need to be excessive but your assuming that MFC is playing ball and Col isnt, it may be us trying to screw him over making cap room for the future???
  12. Your completely ignoring the fact that 16 other teams will come up with better offers, the first two picks will be basically for the first two picks in the 2012 draft, O'meara and Lachy Whitfield, they may even only trade 1 this year and keep 3 for next year securing one of these two players, i think they have 2 years to trade these 4 picks
  13. exactly if pick 4 is what they might get for the first pick Dunn and Bate isnt gonna cut the mustard lol It will involve lots of first rounders and compo picks and decent players
  14. I dont think that Chad Wingard is playing??? SA captain, must have been some sort of tackle by our boy haha, loving this he isnt on the stats sheet on the afl website
  15. Sounds like a quality drink, anyway. Giants hold the key for young bloods
  16. People laughed at critised Watts supposedly being on 300-350K this year and for his current contract, now that seem desrved after a solid 10 weeks of being in our top 5 or so, but yes i understand peoples criticism of such a figure My thought is that somebody needs to be paid money next year who else deserves it out of the players out of contract? Sylvia and Martin so we need to give someone a pay rise
  17. WAs written on big footy, nice story, MFC WIN Was heavily courted by Hawthorn during 2009 season when he was really unknown running around in the VAFA.. Was invited to train between the main draft and the rookie with a squad of 12. It was more of a token invite as he was from the ammos and not rated. He then blew them away with his testing(2.82 20 metre sprint) and won the 3km time trial. He also was impressing with his football training. Fagan and co who were taking training(others at kokoda) insisted that this kid should be rookied . They then found out a few days before the rookies draft that he wasn't nominated!! Serious oversight. Took Kayler-Thompson instead. Then in 2010, the cat was well and truly out of the bag. He broke the agility test record at the state screening last year(until Dalhalus broke his record!),so his testing was elite. Hawks obviously took Smith with first pick and overlooked him with later ones and how he survived till the rookie is beyond me. Already showing that he will be a star. If he had TAC next to his name would have been taken in the main draft...when will they learn http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=843098
  18. Alot of people rated Krakours from the weekend better than Nats, but i hear what your saying, ripper mark by Ricky though non the less
  19. Funny how you only post about Bailey after a loss like this How its his fault the players were insipid tonight His fault they handballed it about 80 to many times etc, i promise you thats not the game plan, not enough space especially at the dome... It is a rollercoster atm and we need to take the good with the bad, not accept it but it seems it will happen atm
  20. Congratulation to Sam Blease, hope he does well at AFL level
  21. Yeah point is Nahas isnt really made for marking contests and still out marked him, milne etc are much better at this, and you are right Nahas didnt have a good game, neither did 20 other tiges, nicho may take Bartrams spot, i feel he is more of a pure midfielder, not a half back or in bartrams case back pocket who shuts down small forwards... People say this and want him to run out of defence etc... thats not Bartrams job, its like people want him to do this but with flash which isnt required it would be detrimental imo and a reason why i wouldnt want him there, because when he does break lines he is dangerous As a midfielder i love Nicho, he is exciting and can afford to get caught occasionally, adds something to our midfield
  22. Was that when Nahas out marked him....
  23. What makes you think that nicholson has any sort of the defensive mindset and capabilities required? baffles me
  24. I maintain that is wrong, look up the stats has averaged better efficiency than Davey during 3 of the last 4 years according to champion data, his decision making isnt perfect but its harder to make decision in a back pocket than it is running straight through the guts, or they cost you more obviously. I like both players just feel that Clint is hard done by, and plays a role for the team
  25. People hate on Bartram for turn overs etc which i dont think he does alot of but praise this kid (who i like) for breaking lines getting caught and turning it over.....double standards to teh guy who is exciting etc bartram is underrated big time imo Nicholson is a jet love him, like that he breaks the lines, runs takes the game on, disposal needs to come good but, no reason he cant, Ammo's to AFL in 12 months still should have a nice ceiling on him
