  1. League Of Legends?
  2. Absolutely. We need more than anything else to establish a culture of winning. We have had 55 years of not winning. Done that. I would love it if we win enough game to make 9th. I look forward to the posts on DL bemoaning the crows and WC losses. Look at our last effort to bottom out. Netted us money bags, trenners and the toump (sounds like a bad SA breakfast radio slot). All gone. Win. Win. Win. i for one have watched enough bloody losses by my team.
  3. I just don't understand why they don't play this game at Olympic park on Monday. Start it at say 11:30am (yes I know that's early) and the game finishes at 2pm. Plenty of time for people to watch the vfl game and get to their seats at the g for the pre game palaver. You would get a huge crowd for it and the atmosphere would be fantastic. A footy festival.
  4. Indeed. Terrific he is still here to be part of that.
  5. I'm no doctor but i doubt the boil is causing the panic attack. Unless you are perhaps a stripper and you are worried the boil wipl be seen by your audience. That might cause some performance anxiety. Following the dees is my diagnosis.
  6. That would be a good result.
  7. Seems stoned, is stuttering, long pauses, lips moving with no words coming out at times. Weird. Could be the fact my internet at work is lagging terribly i guess.
  8. Speaking of making people angry insert giph of John McEnroe here. Trac has a terrible kicking technique. He drops the ball from near his waist. Compare and contrast his style to Salem who practically places the ball on his foot (as should happen). No mystery why he is so much better at kicking the ball. Agree that he has a psych issue though. The problem is if you combine poor technique with the yips you get on the full from 30 metres out dead in front
  9. Spot on buck. I'm amazed that this is seemingly never pointed out by the so called experts in the footy media, who are mostly ex footballers. I posted a coupe of weeks back about Lyon bagging kicking for goals by current player and noted he spent almost all of his time in the forward 50 and probably ran no more than a 2-3 ks a game. The fitness issue doesn't just impact on goal kicking it also impacts on field kicking. it is hard to argue they should practice goal (and field) kicking more but the real issue i reckon is how many players come to footy with woeful technique. This must be a coaching issue in juniors. I mean how does a player like Trac, one of the best junior footballers in the country, get to the AFL with such a shocking technique? By that time is is too late to change it, other than tinkering around the edges. Poor technique is exposed by fatigue (and variables like slippery conditions for that matter).
  10. Question: is he wearing underpants in the above photo or are they actually shorts.
  11. I think part of his legacy will be his hard nosed, uncompromising, win at all costs mentality. That mentality is no doubt a factor in some of his abrasive behaviors over the years. And his inability to perform at the level he would like to no doubt bangs up against that mentality. But I for one am glad the young players at the dees have had the chance to play and train with someone with that mentality who has the record to back it up. Great if he does some mentoring for the rest of his time at the dees
  12. I was JOKING! Sheesh, defensive much (not joking)
  13. If I was a kid I'd give you a month for that attempted pun. God awful. Or should I say Devil awesome
  14. What a load of rubbish. The issue is 100% a result of the impact of having interrupted preseasons and the flow on effect on fitness, confidence, 'connection' and even skills (hard to practice skills when you can only run laps with the rehab group - or for that matter work on connection and systems). I just can't understand why people don't get this. All of the players Bitters mentions in his post - Oliver, Tmac, Omac, Weid and Brayshaw - had interrupted preseasons. Oliver, TMac, Omac and i think Weed all had post season surgery. All are clearly not up to full fitness and all look hampered by injury as well. Tmac is the best example. Something is obviously up. He can't kick 40 metres or pick the ball off the ground for Pete's sake. And again whilst Richmond have had some injuries (which by the by are starting to bite) they had a strong off season with few players having had surgery and not many in rehab. They got the miles in their legs. And besides they have not been hit anywhere near as hard us in terms of injury. Not even close. We have gone past the tipping point where a system can help mitigate against impact of injury.
  15. I have a sneaky feeling.......
  16. Neither are playing for the dees and both struggled to make the senors at the roos so it would be an appropriate name.
  17. I missed this post. And my chance to come in as an emergency! Was wondering where grapeviney was. Late out. Salems's Gastro? I'll get Skype happening so I'm ready to roll in the event of a late out. Good show by the way. Surprisingly upbeat.
  18. When they nail it I guess they are on song
  19. Too true ub. I thought pyke exploited these issues really well. The other key issue was hore's late withdrawal robbing us completely of the intercept player who could zone off and go third man in to mark or spoil. To take advantage of our rubbish team defence and nor having aeriel coverage he isolated omac one out against a much stronger opponent. As you say omac had a poor game and was well beaten by jenkins but that is not a shock given he has is at a signifacnt strength and experience disadvantage. Collins for gc was at a similar disadvantage and was towelled up by tmac in his only half decent game of the year. It happens. But as I say smart coaching assited by lazy mids, poor forward pressure and two late outs robbing us of two important defefenders who were replaced by twi short non defenders and one of those is treacle slow.
  20. He had post season surgery. Can't recall what it was but might be a factor.
  21. They'd find a way if biind siding each other
  22. What was frustrating was not so much he took the kick but he turned his back immediately and in doing so ruled out the option of a short kick to a team mate closer to goal. Which I assume is a team rul to do so (look for an option tbat is)
  23. Block me.
  24. Fair dinkum some of the comments on this pathetic excuse for a thread (i mean a time to go oscar thread - really?) are beyond the pale. Don't rate a player. Think he should be dropped. Don't think he is up to it. Fine. Resorting to personal attacks is simply not fine. Pathetic and gutless. Social media at its gutter worse. Grown men (i'll bet london to a brick almost everry comment on this thread is from a bloke) venting and spewing insults on a young fella who's crime us to be selected in the side they purportedly follow. If you have an issue with his selection take it up wirh Simon Goodwin. And if you have the mettle do so to his face.
  25. Are you being serious? Just a coup,e of minutes ago i i heard the ABC radio commentators giving him a big wrap. Yuo know, paid objective observers Doing his job. Again. Laid a couple of crunching tackles late in the lst quarter too which should satisy his critiics who think he is not aggressive enough Watch with your eyes not your confirmation bias.
