  1. It was a clear cut point, wasn't even close to crossing the line. Not sure how it could look like a goal to you?
  2. Skills. Still our greatest weakness and always will be with this group, particularly under pressure. How do we have so many poor field (and goal) kickers in one midfield, it's diabolical and hurts us every week. Yuck.
  3. 6 weeks? You're kidding, you know the tribunal looks at whether the player is actually hurt right?
  4. You simply can't play BBB in Round 1 based on this evidence. He's losing every contest.
  5. Pretty poor quarter. Very sloppy in several areas.
  6. Kicking skills. Will be our most exploited weakness yet again in 2023.
  7. I think you could make the case that we are one of, if not the slowest team on paper. Probably in the bottom 3 for kicking too, particularly our midfield group having no elite users. All of this does limit our options in changing our gameplan dramatically.
  8. Salem was never the same either. One of our best last year.
  9. It was so so flat both weeks. Low skill football.
  10. For who though? This is just half of it.
  11. I don't think we can afford to let Hibberd go yet. Charlie Cameron would kill Bowie and we have pretty poor small defender depth.
  12. We don't have high skill level in this current crop of players. When an opponent matches our contest we are cooked. Teams know if they pressure us we will turn it over MOST of the time. We'll have the occassional game where it will all click, but it's 1 in 5 at best. We got lucky one of those games was the Grand Final last year. That was the exception, not the norm. Tonight is our norm. 2022 is our norm.
  13. Who would you have brought in?
  14. Shhh.. they'll bring back James Jordan, the world's slowest man over 10 metres. Amazing depth.
  15. The worse part of this whole business was we ABSOLUTELY SH*T OURSELVES under pressure tonight. Was going to start naming names of those who had severely embarassing moments - but it was almost the entire team. That was a disgusting, limp wristed way to exit the year. Some seriously hard decisions need to be made about the makeup of this team. Good riddance to 2022.
  16. Rivers has lost the plot tonight, liability with the ball in his hands. This is so embarrassing to watch.
  17. HA HA HA our skills 🤮
  18. i think he means the long centering kick that he coughed up, which the Swans goaled from.
  19. Not without a big payout! Brainstrust at the club gave him a 5 year x $500K a year contract and this is the third year by my count. Ridiculous decision to lock him in for that long - and $150K a year too much. He wasn't even a regular for GWS in 2019. .
  20. It's pretty unlucky to not really have any frontline midfielders who are great kicks.. Brayshaw hasn't exactly raised the standard there, efficiency is probably his biggest weakness. If our kicking skills in the middle were just a little better we would absolutely dominate teams. Jealous of the Hawthorn and Brisbane midfields in their special eras, they were hard as nails but nearly all fantastic kicks too.
  21. Hunt was brilliant. Feels like we stole that. Weird game, I didn't feel like we were awful, Blues were fired up, kicked decently to their forwards and they got a few ricochets their way too. Our forward line looked a bit more sticky, the tackling was better. Ben Brown though... looks like his only option now is repeatedly run vaguely to the drop of the ball with one arm and pimp slap it? What is he doing?
  22. Wow this has been a horrible 5 minutes for us. fumble / fumble / fall over / fumble Worrying signs
  23. to be fair he looks slow every week
  24. Unfortunately the same issues come up week after week - that have been around for well over a decade. - No power forwards. - Horrible inside 50's (Spargo is excused) - Woeful kicking skills/turnovers. On top of that, we also look slow as hell at the moment. Tomlinson, JJ, Brayshaw, we're carrying a few too many plodders at once. We can't win a final with Tomlinson and JJ in our team, they are just so far off AFL pace and intensity. And Brayshaw getting it more these days just highlights his poor disposal efficiency. He's 50/50 at best, always been a bit NQR at the worst times. Embarrasingly outcoached tonight. The Bulldogs just chipped sideways until we all sagged deep up the ground.. so even if we intercepted we would never have anything to kick to except a wall of Bulldogs. Instead of trying to run it, we just politely kicked it long straight back to them. Can't think of one player that has improved this year. Not enjoyable to watch.
  25. Brayshaw has always been a turnover merchant by hand or foot, particularly when there's pressure but often without. And yes Weid was non-competitive in so many contests. We're all used to that now aren't we?
