Garry Lyon once said he was in the frame to be the best Dee EVER. Feel like that honour should be reserved for someone who can actually kick, or at least kick a goal once every 10 games. I know you're not supposed to say this these days, but he is definitely carrying more weight this year.

If we miss the 8 this year, is there anyone that wouldn't support 'Goodwin Out'? Surely it would be time. We have wasted what should have been a golden era. I suspect the players don't care enough any more. There is nowhere near the required pressure being applied. What an embarrasment, this and West Coast. YUCK

This is typical of Melbourne games this year. Messy. No flow. Slow transition. Clogged forward line. Poor/wasted final kick. Inaccurate. Leaning on defence. We're kidding ourselves if we play this style against the big boys.

I am so bloody sick of dominating inside 50's and losing due to forward efficiency. Over and over and over.

Are we ever going to play attractive footy again? So hard to watch this year, even when we're winning.

About 6 minutes of that game was enjoyable. Clanger city, just real ugly stuff.

Funny to think of the millions of times they've kicked footballs in their lives yet miss targets by 15 metres most weeks. Geelong will be licking their lips watching this. 🤢

Lot of decent first efforts but then we have a lil rest and they sprint forward. I would really love if we could string together some chains and lift the level of footy, because it's not that enjoyable watching us butchering the ball against a weak side.

We have literally nobody else to bring in. Our depth is woeful.

That was a very 'Melbourne Season 2023' type game. Bit of an ugly mess, but effective D all over the ground.

Billings will not want to watch that game again. Snatching at chances is one thing, but that attempt at a tackle on Rankin was not our brand.

So glad I made the journey up for that. It looked like half the team had never touched a footy before. Can't blame the humidity when it was clear most of the fumbles were simply due to absolutely sh*#ng ourselves under pressure. We are definitely carrying quite a few non-AFL standard players and our depth is horribly thin. Schache no. Laurie no. Stop forcing it, it's not going to happen. FLAT.
