  1. For some, he never will be. Itโ€™s sad, because for a coach who has achieved so much and steered this club to that win without Brayshaw, Trac, Gawny and the shadow of Clarrie is a great effort. Congrats Goody and thanks.
  2. Iโ€™ll say it: heโ€™s lost the players.
  3. One out of two ain't bad!
  4. Great stuff red and blue forever! Many thanks for your efforts.
  5. I donโ€™t think you know much about culture if you think every player is tradable. Gawn? I think not.
  6. But this isn't "closed" because you can watch it through the wire fence. You reckon that a Collingwood forward scout couldn't have seen it if he'd wanted to. We should be embracing dedicated and passionate supporters, not punishing them. If you want a closed session have it at another venue and don't advertise it.
  7. How pathetically mean spirited of Richo to keep the gates shut so the (I imagine) 20 or so people attended had to watch from outside the fence. All power to your friend WCW.
  8. I know your real name now.... Rob McKenna. A god of rain and perhaps a good shiraz. Try Simon Clayfield's, you'll love it.
  9. Iโ€™ve been reliably informed that Gus has already rung him and invited him for a couple of rounds of golf at Royal Melbourne. Not enough Gus, propose him for life membership.
  10. Pennant for your own health please donโ€™t read the game day thread, youโ€™re too valuable a poster to lose.
  11. I donโ€™t think you realise how much he appreciates that.
  12. Oliver Kossie ANB Trac Salo Fritsch
  13. Hey WCW, any sign of Salo? Did he train with the group?
  14. When was the last time he had a full game?
  15. He most likely wouldn't impact this year. He'd not be fit enough for AFL footy and he'd take time to learn the gameplan. Unless we think he is a long term prospect why draft him and give him a list spot when IMO we have much greater needs.
  16. My understanding, and I stand to be corrected, is the umpires review every game and the errors are identified and feedback is given to the umps. It may be that the club gets a report on this that they keep confidential. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a "we were wrong" from Laura on the JvR decision. I do agree that different players are umpired differently. Ginnivan is a perfect example.
  17. There's one certainty in footy. The umpires will make mistakes and supporters will continue to think it's targeted. Get on with it, poo happens.
  18. I would but I recognise I'm on my own pretty much. He's got some great attributes but IMO he's got some weaknesses that would make an AFL career problematic. And we don't need another small forward.
  19. Why donโ€™t you just comment on the footy Dazzle, youโ€™ve got some worthwhile input there. Or were you trying to be funny? And yes, I understand the irony of this post.
  20. I think this is the training report when you aren't having a training report, hence a Clayton's training report. I liked Claytons. Thanks WCW! *might be a bit obscure for the younger members of DS*
  21. Looks like concussion.
  22. Fresh legs? Casey play tomorrow. It will be interesting to see who only plays 3 quarters.
  23. Why? There's room for both, genuine competitive stuff and trail matches. You need a genuine competitive competition, and players need to experience that and trial matches are self explanatory. So, there is no logical conclusion to scrap the VFL in my proposition.
