  1. Composure and skills are just fantastic. At quarter time he looked like a Norm Smith medalist, and the rest of his game was really good though not quite as much as Q1 - but that set up the win.
  2. Brilliant I hope that perhaps Ron, and ND can be the official flag raisers when we unfurl the our 2021 Premiership flag.
  3. Demonstone - can you tell us which year / age group this photo came from? An absolute ripper. PS. And which event.
  4. I was one of many who thought that ANB was just a hard working filler … what an amazingly consistent team contributor he has become, and an unbelievable GF. Well done and apologies for my doubt.
  5. Great moment - awful rule.
  6. ❤️💙❤️💙
  7. Or having the luxury of him developing slowly in Casey VFL (assuming that the abomination of 2020&2021 is resolved) under the tutelage of Max (and Jacko) being ready to step up when Max steps down.
  8. They have a massive home ground advantage that almost guarantees them a top half finish. Scott's best option is now to work on his bro at AFL HQ to get quarters reduced to 15 minutes and H&Q season to 20 rounds. Byes before each final. Oxygen cylinders permitted on the bench and at every break.
  9. But Frittata really thrives when he is one cog in the wheel, with a couple of taller and or stronger colleagues.
  10. AFL HQ specialize in knee jerk reactions. Succession planning But our two rucks are each quite exceptional in their skills, mobility and build. Very few current teams could match even one of them - as a combination quite unique.
  11. Don’t know much about him - would Turner be expected to spend all of 2022 at Casey developing or get a glimpse in the seniors? Is he a KPP defender or a tall flanker? Is he a lock down type? Any comments on his one on one capabilities.
  12. 1. Sparrow would also not the role (Viney back up) but Dunstan could walk in too 2. Of course pressure on places in the team is a must - no way do I expect complacency to creep in, but if it did ...
  13. Time to press the RESET button. If any of these worked out we would not have all our current star collection especially Petracca Oliver Fritz Jackson Bowey Pickett etc.
  14. Fabulous hard work Mate. Well done. I guess we will go even better when Jackson matures a bit more with his tap work, Having an amazing midfield team makes it work well too.
  15. So many, and no correct answer. -Angus’ gutsy mark and cool goal engendered belief -Sparrow’s cool calm 55 meter kick -Oliver’s immediate follow up - and how about Max’s one that was called a behind? Isn’t that exactly why the much overused and abused review system was introduced in the first place? To avoid miscalling a Grand Final? Had we gone under by a few points I am sure it would be being discussed just a little bit more
  16. a Norm Smith! why stop at one? Sounds as if he has had a good apprenticeship - can one pick up enough in one year from the master? Could he even outmaster the master? (No pressure, Selwyn)
  17. Derwaynne - I would watch Kozzie, Tracy, Clarrie, Max and Jacko before most of those. (Maybe I am a bit biased) 🙄
  18. What century did we last have a home game at our ground v Essundone? I guess my wish list would include non negotiable: - round 1 Friday night home (at G) vs Footscray - IF we must play in Darwin it must be immediately preceding our (and our opponents) bye.
  19. TMc didn’t have a big day but he (like Pickett) played his role, took an opponent and there were numerous little off ball moments which contributed to the greater cause. Not everyone has a big stat day every week.
  20. One can see a huge amount of mutual respect between LJ and Max - they feed off each other. Waiting for LJ to start kicking the odd bag of goals like Max in PF.
  21. They could of course paint the white ones alternately red and blue
  22. Ha ha. I still remember some “sports journalist” in the Herald Sun writing about what a good game Leon Chelly played.
  23. Turned a Grand Final in his second (first full) year. PS had fantastic comrades in arms to help him.
