Ben Rutten
I guess Clarko has to factor that into his thinking - âwill they turn on me if they donât make finals in, say, 3 years?â Well, we havenât since 1965 anyway. đ„ș Does anyone have any serious doubts that EssUndoneâs coterie group wonât âsort that outâ, and of course that the AFL âIntegrity Commission đđđâ wonât find that there is nothing out of hand? Goody seems a big fan, as well as a friend. Could he replace Yze as asst if Adem goes? Would he be a good fit, or would being good mates be a negative? Or a positive? Or null? I had a friend who felt likewise. Grew up with Hird stuff all over his room, thought the sun shone from where the nasty stuff eventually hit the fan - and has destroyed all the memorabilia and has not watched a Bombers game since.

Jake Lever - You've done it again!
Hunty is showing an infectious degree of enthusiasm and seems to be really enjoying playing his rĂŽle. I believe that over the years players 17-25 or so have made the difference between good and great teams

Covid protocol breaches
And how do the AFLK "Integrity Commission" đ€ ascertain that the clubs involved did not gain advantage? WCE must be spitting chips - their season was derailed by their compliance with the protocols. We had a few players standing aside even though they may not have had covid, and this could have effected results. Maybe we should have covered up and essentially made false declarations? Yes RATS are pretty much hit and miss, but the fact is that the clubs signed on to the protocols and in some cases seem to have thumbed their noses fraudulently claiming compliance.

Ben Rutten
I must say I havenât followed Ruttenâs career much. What was his apprenticeship with what areas of responsibility? Would he make a midfield or a forward coach? I realise he was an ex defender but that could prepare his as a forward coach.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
My thoughts too neitz - no match preparation at all. Wishful thinking really.

We're Finishing OUT of the Top Four
I agree entirely. I just wish people would not reply. How stupid are they?

POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Like Neil Crompton was by the late great Norm Smith for leaving the back line in the 1964 GF. đ€â€ïžđâ€ïžđđ

Premiership Metrics - what do the last ten premiership teams have in common?
In an ideal world âŠ.. but AFL is a dollar driven business, not a sport as such. So âblockbustersâ, âderbysâ and of course not ever having âbig clubsâ play at KITTYLITTER Park rules a fair and equitable schedule out completely. It would âendanger the integrity of the gameâ, and Gilâs bonus.

Ben Rutten
Must make Rutten feel really valued Maybe he should resign and leave them coachless Anyone know Peter Wrightâs contract status??

2022 Injury List
Of course he is - every player is at this stage of the season. No indication that there is anything worrying though.

JAKE BOWEY APPRECIATION THREAD.
To Those seeing him as a defensive forward - has he trained with this group and would he immediately (finals are upon us) fit in? I personally could see him as a wing (for JJ) - he is far more dynamic and creative (at the moment) than JJ who does seem to wait just that little too long. I love JJâs efforts and courage but needs to think quicker.

We're Finishing OUT of the Top Four
No. What we should all be hoping for to bury is Brisbane, for starters. What a pathetic meaningless thread.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
But he does so it isnât. Depends if Toby and Kade were out because they were contacts it positives. In the latter case they probably wonât be ready.

Why no KPF wants to come to the MFC?
Realistically we cannot plan or depend on anything involving TMcD in 2022, which means we will have to make do with one flimsy tall and Frittata and or Melksham unless they choose to grit the teeth and throw in Joel Smith (if fitness allows) or, less likely, JVR.

POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Hunt did in the dying minutes and it paid off big time.
-
CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Well that isn't going to happen - so maybe Joel Smith could (at least partially) fill his role

VOTES: Rd 22 vs Carlton

POSTMATCH: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Meanwhile Geelong have a series of soft games which will not prepare them for finals footy. It happened to them a few years ago too. He no doubt will take the match result to the appeals board. . I left my seat and headed to the exit but waits and saw a Lazarus style revival.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Weed or JVR would be more competitive than BBB

GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton
No hunger this year. One final only. Thanks though for 2021
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Equally as predictable and pathetic as the long bomb to the forward pocket when we canât buy a mark Huge rethink / reset needed for 2023
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Defence is becoming as useless as our forward line. Bring in Disco and JVR for a final fling next week.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 22 vs Carlton
With Disco in defence. Ir debut JVR next week. Anything else is worth a try. This is not working. Just cannot have Melksham and Frittata as our only forwards.
