But seriously, as far as I see the article didn't say how long he would take to get back to 100% - he is undoubtedly in the hands of an expert endocrinologist and may be able to get on track pretty quickly especially given the early diagnosis. Can any expert tell me what is the best Joel has achieved in terms of consecutive uninjured games? Averages 3 games a year. Can't immediately think of more than a handful. Fabulous display of mixed forward craft - marking, leading, crumbing fumbles (a specialty of his playing the Bulldogs) , snaps, and great kicking. But also a sad reminder of how many "comfortable leads" we threw away in the second half of the season. Hopefully a lesson learned.

I think you are really on the same page expressed differently. Few would argue that a fit Salam would not be one of the first choses - that is a fit Salem. Nobody should be picked, automatically or otherwise if they are not for whatever reason fit for cause. I hope we have learned that the hard way 2022.
