  1. "...would like to see it squared up to CHF and then kicked to a leading forward...." kicking to a leading forward turned the 2021 GF when we were starting to look done, but hasn't been repeated since.
  2. Thread title needs to be changed from retires to retries
  3. Essendon and Hawthorn wouldn’t know how to find the ground so would have to forfeit Any guesses who will, and who will not?
. you forgot to mention the golden snitch and the quidditch broom stick And since we finished 1 and 5, or 1 and 2, no way we will not play them twice.
  4. I also heard that Tom was in full running mode which is absolutely fantastic news.
  5. Is the old Football Park still in existence? đŸ€ź and what is the term "magic" all about? Trying to sell it to pre-schoolers??
  6. Agree. The medisub is just so inhibiting to player development - Toby Bedford this year many weeks didn’t play for MFC nor for Casey. Has he had more time on ground at either level he may have stayed, and may well have developed far more. Absurd rule.
  7. Of course
. and some will turn out to be right, others wrong. The misuse / misunderstanding of this word on this forum dates back at least to Brett Grgic and later Jack Watts who both appeared lackadaisical. I don’t know enough about their manner of speaking. I think there were also many who wanted the slick skinny guy rather that the plump redhead 🙄 “
to be a KPF in our forward line you need to have at least some level of physicality and strength” However we did win a Premiership with BBB as a KPF forward who doesn’t exactly meet your criteria. Just saying
  8. I may not have looked hard enough, but any size, weight etc on Phoenix??
  9. As has been said, a little clap goes a long way
  10. Certainly very limited report and selective data shown, but I was interested to see that Tom Sparrow was second to Kozzie in sprint speed metrics. I know some have critiqued his as slow.
  11. Dysfunctional connection between mids and forward line more specifically I would think. Or dysfunctional forward game plan rather than (all) the individuals.
  12. The betting agencies of course will be in seventh heaven. One more opportunity to exploit problem gamblers (of course, gamble responsibly)!
  13. For one thing the Glenferrie "Oval" is just tiny and can never be enlarged, so cannot be a serious training ground. As I recall when Kennedy broke their premiership drought they did match simulations at Scotch College (or maybe Xavier) which were far nearer in size and shape to the MCG.
  14. Frankly I have no idea - has anyone who has followed Turner regularly at Casey an informed opinion?
  15. Kicking 50+ goals without regular big bodied support was a remarkable achievement, and frightening for oppositions when / if we get TMc, JVR, ?HP to support him and take a big defender. PS or even BBB back able to run and get his feet off the ground.
  16. Sounds like a great move to me, though no doubt some naysayers will point out that he hasn’t played a game.
  17. I guess one could ask is Goody et al more likely to motivate a wavered than Bevo et al ?
  18. Just a question - can someone be drafted then put immediately on the long term injury list?
  19. All this talk of frogs and legs reminds me of this.
  20. So to those who have seen or follow Noah - does he look like a potential KPF, flanker, big mid??
  21. And what is his size etc? Is he a potential KPF or a flanker?
  22. Certainly looks an amazing talent, in this company. Nothing remotely approaching AFL pressure but one can only work with what one has. I would hope our guys and development team would have a good look at him and make their call.
  23. Sure but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be looking for another developing “junior burger”, as you put it, in the draft.
  24. True. To me he looks versatile, strong and smart enough to play defence (maybe even the much vaunted lock down), wing, half forward or midfield.
