  1. Don't mind this. We are being killed by injuries and yet we're in it. Doesn't feel anything like round one I without hopeast year. Georgiou Watts cross all good. We're a bottom dwelling team who will get better. Were not hopeless and neither am I without hope...
  2. I went to the Geelong / Hawthorn prelim this year. We are <so far> from that standard Port's rapid rise gives some hope, but to use a loaded phrase - we need to get on the reality bus. Our performances have been an embarrassment, and we were hopeless. In the fantasy world of Melbourne playing a final, I reckon Mitch Clark might stand up (assuming he's on the ground) - we need more mongrel.
  3. I am in deep shlt trying to sneak a glance at the scores Go Dees!!!
  4. Yeah well off to the fathers day dinner with Mrs Frankie and the tribe. Forest time I haven't listened /stayed to the end. This mob (usual exceptions) aren't worthy of the jumper. I'll watch the conversations in the post game thread with interest. Ps. Dunne out.
  5. Who's the fscker cutting onions at this hour of the morning....
  6. Not quite It is now and was always prohibited (a Schedule 0 drug), and WADA has confirmed that. The softer question is "what did ASADA tell EFT about it's status when/if/how they enquired".
  7. Just listened to NC press conference - furious about our "lack of discipline" - giving away 50s etc. Couldn't help but think he was pretty frustrated by the umpiring. If you haven't heard it, I reckon it's a pretty good listen.
  8. I just don't know what to think about watts. It's all about how good he might be somewhere else. Today he was at his soft worst.
  9. By the way, the channel 7 commentary was putrid. No analysis and all reminiscences of the Adelaide Oval.
  10. From the interview on the mfc site : "It's my time and Nathan Jones' time and James Frawley's time to really step up and be leaders of the club."
  11. Should we be worried that he's a private school boy? Even worse, a Public School boy?
  12. this is, sadly for Bruce Reid, not out of the question. The ASADA report might have something to say about medical supervision of the program, as might individual players as patients. Reid is a good guy and would be completely shell shocked as he viewed the carnage. I suspect he regrets not walking out.Edit for spelling
  13. Don't need to test positive. Armstrong never did. ASADA/WADA will complete their investigation and decide if infraction noticed will be issued to players. That's separate from the afl finding that efc bought the game into disrepute by running their supplement scheme (!) so poorly.
  14. AOD is and was a schedule 0 substance. That makes it and made it banned under WADA and ASADA. the issue is whether asada told that to people who asked. This has not run it's course from an mfc point of view.
  15. Whilst there's a view about that the afl tried to cut a deal with efc, and make the "charges go away", let's not forget that ASADA/WADA are lurking here and they don't do deals. This is so far from over....
  16. We just don't know... AOD was never approved for therapeutic use anywhere in the world and so unless you are administering it in the context of a registered clinical trial, you've got problems. And ASADA/WADA are yet to finish their enquiry. Pretty sure that PJ would be asking lots of keen questions
  17. If I did what the EFC non-medics are accused of doing (including not keeping records etc etc etc) I'd be struck off. This is crystal clear - NO GOVERNANCE, and just awful beyond belief
  18. mfc just tweeted: peter ryan ‏@AFL_petryan4m .@melbournefc Aaron Davey to announce his retirement after 176 games today Demons stalwart Davey to hang up the boots
