  1. Here in Somalia (and other countries) the bane of my life is the supposed 'promise' of new software, we have a number of bespoke packages managing delivery of services to millions of beneficiaries. They are always rolled out in Beta, they never function as promised (let alone talk well to one another) cost fortunes to get service, and the management who poorly supervised the project are far removed (sitting in Rome or Nairobi) from a bunch of very hungry, very angry people who don't understand why they are not receiving the food/support they were promised. If I ever get killed it won't be by an IED from AS/AQ, it will be by some mad b@st@rd frustrated beyond belief. My fervent desire is for these managers to visit an IDP camp and receive 'direct' feedback, I will be happily holding their arms behind their back while feedback is administered.
  2. Done the email check, thanks again for your work.
  3. Just saying, that yes the CS logo was a mess, but it did one thing I loved - claiming the Eureka southern cross, which I thought was a brilliant idea as no other club has and I think the cross is an awesome logo and would quite happily claim it for the football club and get it away from the CFMEU, right wing crazies, and anyone else who didn’t understand that it was about a fair go, justice and equality. Anyway soap box broken now, and yes overall it was too messy bar that one good idea.
  4. Ha ha - Jason Taylor says Hello. Do appreciate you not throwing players under the bus though, I lived for a season on Dawes’s comment about that [censored] Rance sleeping in the back pocket.
  5. A Lego MCG set, would be a 'money no object item', And Max Gawn built along the Starwars line of figures would be perfect.
  6. Minor speealling mistake (-; N.U.P.H.Y. stands for Needs Urgent Psychiatric Help Yesterday, plural is Nuphys... I know that hurts some readers eyes! Remains my favourite slang from Policing.
  7. I prefer Salem Quarter-backing to on ball, and I actually think Windsor is such a jet I'd like to see him get mid minutes while rotating through from the Wing. McVee, Lindsay, Rivers for rebounding. Bowey is the question mark for me, I don't think he has the run for the wing and I want to see flatter kicking this season or he has become a liability, from training it sounds like he is doing that. If his disposal is not near equal to Salem's best, he has no comparative advantage as speed and size are not his advantage. Bowey will have Mentha, MW and Hore breathing down his neck.
  8. Curious as to why you say this (honest respectful question), NQR for me means a temperament, skills or endeavour issue and I have never thought that about him. I think like many small forwards his moments are brief and errors magnified, but to say NQR am wondering if I missed something. Personally I hope he is one of many that keeps selection pressure up, and I always thought he was a thinking footballer. If others have gone past him I won't complain though.
  9. Sharp always had the jets, the question mark was on disposal, any comments from track watchers on how that is looking please?
  10. Little clues to who all the natural leaders are, I was impressed at Tom Campbell's maturity. Chandler strikes me as a guy who is not going to die wondering, perhaps most like ANB in terms of commitment. Viney has found a chill gear (which must be a relief for everyone). But what I liked, and I realize that it is heavily edited, is that it seemed a team, regardless if you are one of the 1st picked type players or last picked. And I'm sure that the 1st 5 picked know all of the names of the last 14 on the list. Was not always thus.
  11. I believe it's an Australian invention called afterpay, slightly more ethical than the Cash Converters that Collingwood supporters fence stuff in, in Smith St 1CL to pay their membership subs.
  12. Got excited at this, the excitement JT had was palpable about Langford and Goody looked like he was the owner of Black Caviar when he saw the young men for the 1st time after the pick.
  13. Maybe too strong, but career average of 62% ain’t no muppet, in the top 25 coaches for games at 333, 5th I think for winning percentage out of that bunch, is a high level of consistency, and equal 9th for number of GF reached. I’m not calling him Smith, Barassi, or Jock, but is a fair body of work. If I was grading him at school I’d say A-, is that better?
  14. Knocking Longmire is like knocking the all-blacks, you look churlish, he is an all time great as a coach, he’s been respectful in the game and his personal life has stood out as a model of dignity. By the by, as happy as I was for the Dogs to win it in 2016, they had a 20-8 free kick count and it stands out as the worst GF performance by umpires I have seen. Have never heard Horse sook about it when many others would have. For sure Horse goes in the woulda/coulda/shoulda GF coaching basket like Tommy Hafey, however I look at 14 years of sustained success as the measure of his abilities. I also would like to know what the hell happened to them last year.
  15. This selection makes up for the Toumpas pick
  16. stoic, dour, me thinks we got a better viking than St Kilda
  17. Am sorry to Josh Schache, but I like this guy x10 on Josh, that clip of him running at a pack at speed was Boomshakalaka. No reason why we can't pull a mature age forward recruit like a Geelong or Richmond. Also, just quietly, he looks like an XXL version of Chunk, couldn't help but think of Dude from Free Guy. Would be a great nickname.

  19. love it, Travis Johnston and Aaron Davey would carve teams up with with the rest of the squad we have to put around them.
  20. Someone has to say it, so I'll be the [censored], the snow forecast is good btw r14-17. But seriously Carlton with 3rd easiest draw, that is ridiculous.
  21. Am going to be boring here and repeat myself, but outside of retaining CP5 & CO13, the best news for Melbourne 2024 is JVR fixing his double grab when marking a third of the way through the season. Will be an absolute weapon in 2025.
  22. Who is this boring club you speak of, deadly curious, any club with a pulse has a bin fire somewhere. Only boring club I can think of is Tasmania as they don't have a single contracted player, Just Brendan, Grant, a board and a comms/membership team (who probably misbehave on weekends as well).
  23. I will be watching-awesome crew of players, feels a bit 2020 with these abridged seasons, much more of a sprint than a campaign. If we do fall in, no one will be taking them lightly.
