DeeM I think you should take off your rose coloured glasses. There is a big reason we are second last with two wins. It is called a "lack of talent" We have a large number of players that are simply not good enough.

I think we have to make 5 selections at draft time so the Min. is then 5. hope that is correct. Couch and Magnar are rookies so they don't count. Therefore if we delete Jetta, Tynan, Davey, J Mac that leaves one more. Please tell me that you don,t want to keep Gillies. That would make your five and keep Davis. I have a feeling the number will be a couple more.

It is west coast we are talking about here.They have more money than they can spend. If they want him they can equal any bid we put on the table. Now here is an idea perhaps with Roos is not all about the salary level.

I took that as we may not turn into world beaters.IMO whoever coaches us next year it will be fairly lean win wise. We will still have a sow's ear list with hope in a few good kids to come on quickly. You do not turn around six years of blunders in five minutes.

At the West coast he gets all the above plus a better team to start with, warmer weather and a better place for Mrs Roos.I think I know who I would pick!

Watch Davis at training R & B IMO he is no better then than on game day.

The same thing makes me wonder too bb.However I think it has a lot to do with the size of the player pool required for the AFL level now. With the addition of two new teams we have had to find a min. of another 80 players. IMO these players would not have made the cut in years gone by. IMO the talent pool is now stretched too far.

We are all assuming that Clark returns with a good body and plays 20+ games in 2014 and beyond. What if we traded Fitzy away for an average mid fielder and Clark's career stayed in the toilet? Keep the kid He has just started to show something.

I guess bb and Redleg when you get to the point in the draft when Nicholson, Mckenzie and Davis were selected you are getting to the bottom of the barrel. They would not be high / Rookie picks if they were perfect.If Mckenzie was a good kick he would have gone in the first round. If only he could kick!!!!!!!

Guys this has nothing to do with our next coach. However on the subject of newspapers and payment. Putting it simply Newspapers are dieing all around the world and they are trying to go digital via the internet. Now being almost ancient in the 21st Century I have a subscription to the HUN. As a result of that I get access to the HUN website as part of the deal. I seldom use the internet version I find it way inferior to reading a newspaper ( probably just my vintage ) however it is very useful when interstate or OS. The total packaging I find cost effective and useful. As to the new coach I have a gut feel that Roos will not be our next coach. I think he wants the WA job and that is why he has not committed to us. But again it is only my gut feel.

After all the agreement of earlier today Redleg trouble is on the horizon.Davis's kicking ability will go the same way as Mckenzie, Nicholson and G Mac. IMO poor kickers generally stay that way. Average kicks can etch out an AFL career poor ones do not. Replace them with players who can kick, they just break your heart and keep you anchored in the bottom half of the competition.
