  1. We shall see bbRemember where you heard it! Of course I may look like a big dill.
  2. I still believe and have since early on that the players will get off , at the least lightly. Everyone at Essendon just seems way too confident. Hird and the boys is another matter, some of them IMO are in trouble.
  3. correct me if I am wrong but right now he is not even an apprentice. The MFC needs someone with loads of Credibility because 2014 and 5 are going to be very lean while the list is rebuilt. We need somone that the media will not be able to say, this guy cannot coach. We also need a proven a winner to sell to members and sponsers.
  4. A couple weeks ago i thought we might have a chance against the Lions but they way they have played the last couple of weeks i would say we have no show
  5. Like who? We cannot afford any untired apprentices.
  6. Add Uni Black drew, kicked themselves out of it. But my old home town got up. God I am grasping at straws
  7. yes but in the FD / facilities they have way more than the MFC will ever have. Anyway PSD I don't think he is keen to return to coaching. If I had to wager my CHG I would put it on him doing exactly what he is doing right now.
  8. I would be happy with that result.
  9. Still looks better than ours to me PSD. And they have money to burn. Over all I would still take the WCE job over the MFC
  10. May well be! just giving my feelings for what they are worth. As for the others I feel we might agree I read way more books than I did a few years ago. The entertainment world has gone off in a direction I have little interest in.
  11. Happy with two of those, williams is a nutter. I have a some friends who are mad tigers fans. They say we are welcome to him. They think is way to flighty. And why did he not get the job at GWS, they had a year long look and said no thanks.
  12. According to you C&B Have you ever lived in Perth? I have had some extended stays there. It is quite a good place to live. And in the end Mrs roos thinks Melbourne is crap so what you and I think does not matter
  13. RM you are assuming they do not have a plan beyond Roos. I find it impossible to believe they have not drawn up a list of potential Coaches. Just because the media keeps on about roos does mean the MFC is doing the same.
  14. But they might be where Roos wants to go.
  15. It would fit for a lot of other reasons bb. Better playing list, Better place for Mrs R to live, warmer, better life style.
  16. No way, when was the last time he was in the top 10 players in a MFC side? Remember this a side that cannot beat time with a stick. He is not trying to bust into Hawthorn or Geelong's line up. The main reason we are so poor is we have poor players, Strauss is right up there in the "Not Good enough catagory" Mind you he has a lot of mates, stays at Casey IMO
  17. You mean worse than Gillies, and Pedersen Come on!
  18. I do all those too Saty. But there is not the same feeling for me as there is at other clubs (non AFL ) that I visit. Now a large part of that may be the fact that we are an AFL club and it is hard to be involved in the same way you can at a smaller club. I Have friends who are Carlton, Richmond and Hawthorn members, I have been with them on numerous occasions to their home games ( not always when playing the dees ) and it feels different. It is hard to explain, just feels more inclusive.
  19. Eade and Williams would crawl over broken beer bottles to get the job. Viney has no hope
  20. New Chairman New Coach New assistants New Captain Hogan joins the men We are rostered to play the Cats at the MCG Sylvia plays well at the Lions Jamar plays poorly with GWS Frawley re signs for another three years Watts polls highest votes for the MFC in the Brownlow and wins the Bluey. MFC finish 15th with no 10+ goal losses
  21. We have been called everything else jman why not?
  22. dee-luded and Saty As a non MCC member I have always sat out with the plebs. If I am very honest I have always felt like a second class member. I do agree with you dee-luded that we are now well and truely divorced from the team, not that it is the MFC's fault. I go to other football clubs and I get a more belonging feeling than I ever have going to the G to watch the Dees. Has it stopped me going to watch the MFc for the past 54 years? No! But I am not sure that it is not a dicouragement for young people and future members. I have longed for a social club for 40+ years, I doubt we will ever have one. The cruncher for me is win games when that is happeneing the rest just becomes minor irritations.
