IMO he had an idea that if he was to coach next year the MFC was always running third behind The Lions and Eagles. The lions look to be back with Voss so he was waiting for the Eagles position to be confirmed one way or the other. The Eagles have said to him that if their position is opened by JW quitting they want him. To me this means he has always been waiting for the other teams to confirm one way or the other before he would make any comment. Again IMO if tomorrow both the lions and Eagles said our coaches are staying he will suddenly start making positive comments about the MFC. Tell him thanks for the telling us you are not interested and don't call us we will call you. To me he clearly wants abetter option than the MFc if he is to coach in 2014.

Because they don't pick hacks in the first place. eg. Byrnes was clearly past it at Geelong. After a career at Richmond and Port Roden had one year left at best. Gillies never showed anything in his years at Geelong. And Pedersens high light reel was all one game at north.

Well there goes a great saying dc. But I will stay with the idea. We have only a few AFL standard players, the others will never be more than VFL standard no matter how fit you get them.

I would like to know the average losing margin in the 113 games we have lost. I suspect that will tell us more than how many games we have won.

We are not going to agree on this bb. There will be enough doubt for them to escape. The very survival of the EFC depends on this, they will persue it to the highest court in the land. As dc suggests it could take years before one of us can say"I told you so"

The problem as I see it bb is that no matter how fit he makes them the majority do not have the skill level needed to be more than good VFL players. I have said this on numerous occasions but you cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

That is the nub of why I think the players will escape with little if any sanction dc

A forlorn hope I think Redleg. People complain about us and others having our reserves as an afilliate team like Casey.Over the last few years it seems to me they have way more than us to complain about. In the last three weeks we have taken from their team, Gawn and Fitzpatrick with Spencer out suspended and Jamar injured they have gone from the best ruck division to nil. This weekend Spencer should play for Casey. What is the chance he will go to Darwin as an emergency? And again they will have no ruckman.

I might concede Watts but not Trengove. Average player at present that may become better IMO that is the limit

What is your judging criteria for your assessment hh?And how has he earned your lack of respect?

1 no I am not but it could easily be a cover for not getting the job.2 it depends on where you live, just like Melbourne there are lots of good parts and lots of very ordinary. I can understand people not living in cities because their families are elsewhere, but it is my experience from spending a fair bit of time in most state capitals that they are all good if you choice your location well.

I have little love for him.IMO he inherited a very good side at Port. Most coaches with that list could have done as well as he did. IMO a few could have achieved more. Why did he get passed over at GWS? Why do my Richmond friends say we are welcome to him?

Lets hope we don't use it the same way as in the past and pick a LC!

I think I agree but the really sad part is he has the worst injury.I have doubts he will make it back.
