Yes they didn't have anywhere near the fitness of modern players. One reason they were part time players.

It was a very good night WCW. Come winter it will be sadly TV for me. Good timing I am off to NZ for the next game.

Me too, I thought there was too much hype last night. It seems like in the 21st century the game isn’t enough.

I notice that often in games Bbo he is one of the few that actually show it after a torrid period of play. I should be as tired!

A few like Bedford will leave for opportunity but that is price of having a good list and being at the top. If you are young and playing for a very good team there is the chance of playing in a premiership e.g. late in 21 Hunt gets injured and Bowey gets in and plays in a winning GF.

Amazing is the only word that comes to mind. It amazes me how people are down on Tmac. He does a lot of un noticed work. The opposition knows if they don’t put a good player on him he will kill you. They say you don’t appreciate someone until they are not there. Witness last year we were never the same without him in the second half of last year.

One of the wonders to me of the modern game is fitness. How fit are AFL players. It amazes me how they run 40-50 metres to create a lose man. Not once but for 120 minutes.

Sunday morning and I am still in bed reason it was after midnight when I got home. From the time I left to go to the game till I got home was 7.5 hours. Now admittedly I left early to make sure I got into the G car park. Ridiculous! The upside ? We slaughter a team that was supposedly a top 4 contender. I have to say rarely have I watched a MFC team play as well as this one and we had 4 of our 21 premiership side out. I know it is only the first game but how could you not be excited. Bring it on Dees we have all waited decades for this team.

He kicked the previous one. I was behind him he never looked like kicking from the moment he started.

I decided to drive to the G and got a parking spot. Unfortunately after entering the ground I discovered that the entire first level in the northern stand is now reserved seating. I have been sitting in that area since 1960. There is nothing as constant as change. I got to chose between behind the goals or southern stand wing, wing won! Too many members!!!!!!.

I would be surprised if it tops 45k. Night game and poor public transport will hamper the numbers.

After waiting for months the day has finally arrived and getting to and from game is proving to be interesting. I only go to night games at this time of the year however tonight is testing my resolve. Train trip will take 1 hour 40 mins with three changes, normally 45 mins. Limited parking at the G so looks like I am parking in the city and traming it to the G. Is it any wonder people don’t go to games. Couple of Pie friends ( yes I have some) took 2 hours to get home last night when it is usually 40 minutes. After looking for an upside the only one I can think of is it may stop a lot of dogs fans going. Go Dees!

At least we have good players to replace them. would you prefer to be St Kilda?

Amen to that George, it is amazing in this digital world of the 21st century that the ticket system is so poor.

I have thought this for a very long time. The Injury list is worthless. Only comment I could find on Melbournefc is from mid Jan when Max. was out for a week or two. All other stories are about the girls during finals time. No wonder I seldom visit the site.
