  1. Covered it well there. If the the team needs us to be like the pies supporters we are doomed to failure.
  2. I struggle with the concept that our future success is tied to being rowdy supporters.
  3. What I find quaint Bbo is the idea that somehow we are to blame for the teams failures.
  4. Agree but it won't happen in one season.will take a decade. Pies have seldom been out of finals and over the same 50 years have given their fans way more joy than us.
  5. We had 50 years of getting beaten on a regular basis in other words half a centre. Most supporters are used to keeping quiet so as to not aggravate the pain. That eventually turned to pity by a large percentage of opposition supporters. Then we finally have some success from 2019 and make the gf in 2021 and win it. However the vast majority of us were locked up here in Vic while the games were played interstate with the GF in WA. So we could only yell and carry on in our lounge rooms. Comes 2022 and half way through the season we look like we are returning the the demons of old. So perhaps we are returning to the safety of ambiguity. Don't put your head up or we will lock stupid. I don't know to be honest but perhaps that is one element.
  6. But they sure as hell keep the wolves from the door.
  7. That doesn't fix the forward line.
  8. That covers it rpfc, I don't think there will be mass changes. Sadly for Smith I think he will be at Casey this weekend. The stupid bye robbed him of any chance of being selected after one average game after a long time out injured.
  9. So the only conclusion I can draw from all this is that we have somewhere between 10 and 20K supporters who only buy a membership to get a final ticket. That may well be the case. The up side, I will take their money and be happy about our increased coffers.
  10. I was joking JCB.
  11. That won't happen Mr Leg and you know it. That's not the way the MFC have ever played. I can't see it changing.
  12. Should we move to Perth JCB?
  13. We have returned to playing like the demons of old. No matter how big the lead we were always scared we would lose the game and often did. Are we now dropping into the same frame of mind? Confidence or lack of it is all between the ears.
  14. All we can do is win then positions in the eight will be whatever turns out and play from there. In the last 6 weeks we have squandered the first ten weeks of the season. About the best I can see for us is a prelim final loss. Injuries and form have been poor and it is difficult to see that changing. So will end 2022.
  15. Why do you think Deva?
  16. So what's the reasons 58? It's easy to preclude many reasons but why don't members turn up. If they have paid their membership and don't show up why? You can bet on about 25k. Why?
  17. This could be a close game, Carlton with the worst form in the top eight playing the worst faders in the eight.
  18. I doubt it layzie can you be more [censored] off than you and me?
  19. five generations of defeat will do that.!
  20. You might have to wait till 2023.
  21. And still we lost. I think we are never going to agree on this one Dr.
  22. Poor football as you say Dr.
  23. Poor kicking Is poor football. And in the end we didn’t win. Yep and in between the dogs and pies beat us. It’s not rubbish, just keep at us and we will crumbly in the last quarter. We kicked 2 goals to 4.2 in the last. Nothing poor there just outscored in fact doubled our total.
  24. They took 4 between them, not exactly a huge number to replace.
