  1. I went to more games when we were absolutely [censored] not that long ago than I do now. Part of that is the advancing year problems / night games. But after winning the flag my level of enthusiasm has reduced. I am weighing up going next Friday night. It will have to be by car no chance by train because they stab you out this way. Now we have a decent side there is a part of me that says the team don't need me there any longer.
  2. Yep you are dreaming
  3. Pies as usual getting a great umpire run what was the last free for?
  4. If it was melbourne playing we would be North.
  5. The pies have won today because they can kick goals and north cannot. Far from outclassed. Give us Larkey and we win the flag.
  6. I have only an entry level membership so even if we made the GF I would not get in DZ watching on TV is the same anywhere. You are lucky if you are wildly optimist I prefer to think I am a realist.
  7. They are a very good side wait till you see what happens to us on KB.
  8. We are BDA, turning up yesterday was the best you could hope for. After that effort don't be surprised if there are more blues fans there than us on Friday night.
  9. Booked some flights to QLD for last week of September this morning.
  10. I can only say you are the ultimate optimist. Keep on Cheering.
  11. You are not alone.
  12. BM is one of our senior members who lives in WA Doug I can just about guarantee he was not there. He is however a passionate member over many years.
  13. I am surprised you are surprised MB. In my 63 years of following the Dees i see this every week. Dees supporters are conditioned and accepting of loosing, it is has been burned into our DNA. It will take decades of success to change.
  14. Binman I have said elsewhere that we don't give enough credit to the average member / supporter. It was obvious to me that we would struggle yesterday. I think a lot of fans thought similar or thought we would straight out lose. Unlike Pies supporters who turn up no matter what because of belief after many years of winning seasons. I think Demon supporters are not wedded to footy in the same way, we are also conditioned over decades of loosing seasons. The old Here we go again rises to the surface. Having said all that I was surprised it was more than 20k. I was bitterly disappointed yesterday the train marooned me at Sunshine and I did not get to the ground, returned home to watch the last three quarters on Kayo. The upside to yesterday was my GD won their Basketball game and she hit one from just inside the three line. four wins and a draw from 5 games this season.
  15. Good summation there Billy.
  16. Hmm binman can you tell me your definition of "fine". Serious question.
  17. We have injuries that have robbed us of important players. We have a game plan that has been worked out by all teams and the better sides can now beat it. A number of our team are sadly out of form and last our tall forwards are simply not up to the task required to win games against good sides. We can all hope things can turn around but the reality suggests otherwise.
  18. I sure did, sadly any thoughts of a repeat are fading fast.
  19. No idea he mumbled a lot!
  20. That is not the coach's way.
  21. Ancient history the only start that matters is win or lose.
  22. Kick straight and blues win easy. Our forward line is non existent.
  23. I think your line is coming unstuck TU. We are well and truely worked out. If the blues kick straight next week they will win easy.
  24. Funny I was thinking the same thing.
  25. 70k, to 20 with 10k who failed to show.
