I was trying to be a little generous Deeoldfart.My problem is that over the years I have seen a number of these sort of arrangements and without exception 3 years down the track they are forgotten without any benefit. I am not saying don,t do it I just think there benefits will be low.

Wow that is a very long bow sue. WE will only leave Melbourne if we go broke. I am not sure how this influences our general finances. Look it is a no negatives idea IMO if it generates some benefits good But I don't expect anything above modest from it.

I don't agree the rucks are not the reason we have spent 3 years in a black hole. While they could be better there have been way bigger problems in the mid field and forward line. We have average AFL standard Rucks the others mentioned have been barely VFL standard.

While I do not agree with everything he says I believe Patrick Smith is one of a very few Sporting journalists who have any integrity. The rest are sadly conflicted by there personal loyalties and adherence to the Company line.
