Funny that you should comment in that way hardtack as I think the view in Vic re the NRL guys is the same. Interesting I was at a get together yesterday afternoon and the subject of sports people in general came up. It was raised by a comment about Warner's antics yesterday. The general comment by most was that the degree of admiration that most people had for the majority of sports people was poor. Most said there admiration had fallen over the last ten years. Almost to a person they thought that professional sports people were over rated and over paid. They ( sports people ) had inflated opinions about there own importance in the scheme of things. There was a general feeling that the only thing stopping most sports people using enhancing drugs was the fear of getting caught. I was surprised at the level of ill feeling. There was one Essendon supporter at the gathering who was coping a bit and his attitude was yes we cheated just a shame we got caught. I am not pretending this is some of indication of the general feeling in the community but it made for an interesting afternoon.

At that point they had to get his agreement RB. He was always playing the long game IMO. End of 2015 he can go to where he wants to be without much hassle. Stay for 2015 and he walks to Geelong and there is nothing Adelaide can do about it.

If there is a decision before the season starts I will be surprised.

I read an internet report yesterday that said that the hearing had a lot of days to go dc. So far the "in camera" brigade are winning no information and no one besmirched. It is when the decision is announced it will hit the fan. Whoever is on the losing side will cry foul and their accusations will be believed because no one will be able to show why they are wrong.

I would not spend too much time worrying about him coming to the dees. He is going to Geelong or perhaps Hawthorn if they are prepared to spend up really big. Why would he come to the MFC it is similar to staying at Adelaide. The only faint chance we have of getting him is if we were to end up 8th this year and are prepared to pay well over the odds. I agree with you under those conditions I don't think he is worth it.

I suspect that with so much failure on and off the field those around the club have to cling to only positive things or they will end up in the foetal position. The nett result is some of the brutal honesty on here means we are a no go zone for people at the club. They will be back on in 2017 when we are playing finals
