WJ there are so many different drafts now and so many conditions about who goes in what order and how many GWS get that my brain glazes over at the mention of a Draft. Some time early in the new year can you tell me what wonderful players we have drafted. they will be very good and we were surprised they did not get picked earlier. No doubt they will be development types that will need to put on weight and they will be ready around 2016. oh sorry I fell asleep typing!

Low but true. Until we get as financial as the Pies ( probably never ) then we will always have to grovel to the AFL. They say jump and we say how high. We should never forget that we need the AFL far more than they need the MFC. If the dees folded tomorrow the AFL would go on with hardly a blink. In fact they could transfer the players to GWS just like Fitzroy and Brisbane. That is the world we live in. IMO Eddie is right we can be raped and only Dees supporters are hurt. No one else gives a stuff.

Congratulations Deeoldfart. Looks like you might have better luck than me. I am working on it but Mother is a Bombers fan, father and grandmother Pies. Unless we start winning the majority of games I have no hope. Kids go for winners that 's why her mother left the Dees for the Bombers.

Just had the most enjoyable 24 hours for some time. Babysitting my 10 month old grand daughter. What a treat right now she is running a long way in front of the MFC. But tomorrow is another day

Agree Was DB "what we needed at any stage in our development"?

Hi MrMoose Not sure you can have it both ways, either DB was good or he was not. If you accept what Neeld says our team was no where near fit enough for AFL level. It might explain all those last quarters where we had multiple goals kicked against us. IMO that means DB had a poor understanding of the requirements of AFL. So do you still really like DB as a coach?

2011 has finally started to show a good side to me. Went to the Basketball last night. The Tigers are coming together beautifully. 5 wins from 6 games, it is not hard to see why patrick mills is in the NBA ( when they are playing ) The guy is brilliant. Such a contrast to the Dees, most of the team have only been playing together 10 weeks and they are already looking good. As well i don't have to wait 3 years till they develop ( I know it is a different situation. ) Finally something with "Melbourne" in it that is doing well. Roll on summer 2011 /2

I remember him WJ I think he was on the list for 2 years but never got beyond ordinary seconds player. Was about the same time as Jimmy and Sean were playing.

Doubt it redleg, I was up there last week and inspite of all you hear AFL is still in its infancy. And after getting belted last week who cares! I just pray we get no injuries the result I could not care less about.

I read that somewhere a week or two back Nuggets. In the media nothing surprises me. I actually don't mind Eddie, I am debating the worth of Foxtel at the moment. Have had it before but bailed out a couple of years back. But cannot see the Dees being on 7 very often. Might have to get it to see away games in 2012.
