I don't think it is the game plan or the FD or the coaches. It is the guys that run out for the first bounce. They are just not good enough. Could not implement the DB plan and although it is very early days they are not looking flash at implementing this one. The problem is our senior players are mainly average there are few to get the job done. IMO it is that simple

PSD "expect 10 - 12 wins" is my problem I might hope for that many but what is the reality? I believe 8 tops I am praying for ten but have no confidence we will get them. I believe one of our biggest problems in 2011 is the same one as 2012. i.e. very few good senior players, who is going to hold up the team while the kids improve / mature? Look at Saturday night our best player in Jones was not exactly a verteran. The senior players were once again among our poorest players as it was in 2011 and I fear in 2012. We will be competitive against the last half dozen side probably beat most of them. but once we come up against the top 10 sides our lack of good senior players is exposed. From my view point this will likely go on for the next few years.

I agree and it was i think his first game of the year. Even JC would struggle get saturdays night's team off the canvas. What worries me is he is probably going to have to carry more than 50% of the load. It is a very big job for someone so inexperienced, especially if we have a year similar to 2011. Poor kid will on his knees by mid year. Imagine having to shoulder the job through a few more of saturday nights results.

What it may show us McQueen is that there may be a distinct lack of alternatives. One Jack has played a handfull of games ( 32 ) over 4 years and the other has played about the same number of games (37 ) That must be some sort of record for two co captains with a total of 69 games between them.

You make very good sense RB. But please lets not lay it all at JW's feet. There are IMO a lot of players who have been found wanting year in year out. WE do not have enough of the right cattle. MN, MM cannot get blood from a stone That job is reserved for JC and he has not been seen a lot in the last 2000 years.

I have them firmly in the maybe camp bing181 But look at the results. They beat us the last time we played. They beat the reigning premiers by 9 goals We got beaten by a semi finialist by 13 goals They have probably the best young midfielder of the last 5 years. We have um err Jones. They have a proven full forward we have umm! I think he has a broken wrist and may well spent most of 2012 away from Melbourne. The list goes on. Hell I might change my mind.

You are probably fairly close to the mark Bing and my comments may be negative but I am very tired of being positive when the results consistantly show year in year year out that we are an ordinary side. "Trying" is the word Big Jim. Who do think are the teams we can beat? I truely struggle with more than six wins. Lions 2 GWS 2 GCS 1 Port 1 we are then a chance against the Bulldogs and Richmond if we strike them at the right time i.e. our injuries down and theirs up. Beyond those teams I think it is fanciful to imagine we can beat the other sides.
