  1. Think gold coast fans have more reasons to complain than us. Umps have all but given them the spoon
  2. What a disgusting effort. Brad Green has been rubbish this year and has had the greatest opportunity to end on a high note. Despite the result of the game meaning nothing, his game today has been pathetic. If he is captain next year I'll be sick.
  3. Blease got subbed
  4. Usually avoid ragging on the umps, but today it's an absolute joke! Having a serious impact on the game
  5. Fitzpatrick is a spud
  6. Thank god there's only another hour of our season remaining
  7. The blokes on the field who have any chance of tasting some september action are wearing yellow... Seriously, throw the f**kin ball up if you're unable to bounce it!!
  8. Umpires...
  9. The difference in quality between picks 12 and 18 is nothing compared to something like a priority pick in the top 5. Either way, I want to finish this season as high as possible to salvage whatever bit of pride we have left.
  10. The frustration towards Morton isn't because he can't play. It's because the way he attacks the footy and his opponent is consistently pathetic. He is the complete opposite to Bartram.
  11. FFS concussion from a footy to the head? Humpty Dumpty would've had a harder cranium than this bloke!
  12. Herald Sun had him listed in their team of the round! Considering his setback his done well just to actually win a spot in the seniors let alone contribute the way he has. Love watching him play
  13. It's a shame Jones has gotten such little love... Didn't vote for him, but at least he plays like he gives a f**k!!!
  14. Pretty sure the majority of posters had written off blease at some point this year. It's that majority, - myself included - who also started thinking premierships after scully's first year. "Let's not confuse the issue" You haven't written Scully off as a result of speculation he's leaving...? Because he is going to be gun.
  15. Disagree. First year player, could've definitely done with a game against a side like Gold Coast. Imagine his confidence if he kicked 5 or 6...??
  16. What are Scott Burns' credentials as a coach? Seems to be getting backed by the bookies Despite being Voss' b!tch in that GF, was a tough and aggressive player. Fairly respected skipper as well...
  17. Though not a complete impossibility, I'd be surprised if Clarkson made the switch. I am however mildly comforted by the fact the club is being quite ambitious with their pursuit of a new coach.
  18. Regardless of what happens over the next 3 weeks, this year has been a fail. Sure we've had our positives: Watts, Howe, Freo, Adelaide, Martin, Tapscott, Trengrove, Evans, Nicholson, Essendon, Gawn, Jones, McKenzie. But the negatives have just been awful: Green, Jurrah, getting smashed by any half-decent team, Bennell, Maric, injuries, Morton, Davey, Bailey, Bate, Dunn and the f##king tom scully situation.
  19. Every time I saw him he was matched up on Darling... And he smashed him!
  20. Neeld +2 His record as pies midfield coach speaks for itself. Guys like Wellingham and Thomas would probably be inconsistent, fringe players at the dees. Right now they probably work harder on and off the field than any Melbourne player. That's just the first of many examples that come to mind...
  21. Agreed. I want Melbourne to be seen as arrogant and aggressive. Both Mick and Fev would definitely bring both attributes to the table.
  22. Haven't seen his name mentioned around demonland until now. You're right, we could do a lot worse. But we could do a lot better. Is he still coaching in the VFL?

  24. Green is about as terrible facing the media, as he is in front of goal this year. If he honestly thinks the result of yesterdays game and how they went about it displayed resilience amongst the group, he is a fool. Several players can hold their head high after yesterday, but Green is not one of them. If he didn't question his own leadership qualities after last week, that is a disgrace.
  25. Would love to recruit Myles Sewell. As you've said, not the biggest body but he just dominates around the stoppages. He's consistent, honest, a leader and at around 23-24 years would be a fine acquisition.
