I love your emblem stuie. I've grown to hate the current one. It looks messy and it is going to take a long time for it not to remind me of this particular period as a melbourne supporter.
-
"Just for once try to tackle the crap out of the opposition." I think Shaw stole the words from every Melbourne supporters mouth with that line.

Should the board be challenged at the end of the year?
Juicebox replied to Diablo Deemon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Has Neil Mitchell given any indication that he'd challenge for a spot on the board? Would be an interesting appointment. -
Your Essendon mates sound like ass holes. Any friend of mine would know better than to serve up that kind of trash to me.

Is this hatred for Robinson fueled mostly by the "bruise free footy" comment?? Because he wasn't exactly wrong in saying we're soft. I mean of course, the guy seems like a total [censored], but he was kind of stating the obvious...

PRACTICE MATCH: CASEY SCORPIONS v PORT MELBOURNE
Juicebox replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Cheers for the updates waynewussel and KC! -
Is anyone taking pot shots at Moloney, "a cancer on the club", actually a part of the inner sanctum at the MFC? Or at the very least, have some connection to the social circles at the club? Can anyone actually say what type of character he is and base it on any first hand evidence???

Have we been getting hammered in the free kicks throughout this NAB cup?
-
Love that movie! Saw it after watching "Death Proof". Anyway Blease has a 4-6 week injury. So I suppose we'll see him ready to play around July...?
-
Yes and everyone truly appreciates it... It may only be a NAB cup game, but we have every reason to be optimistic and excited. This is like a whole new team that's being unveiled, and we expect them to be a whole lot better than what we've seen in previous years.

Intra Club Game - Friday 15 February 9:30am @ Casey Fields
Juicebox replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Confidence is such a vital part of being a gun forward. Carey, Brown, Franklin, Fevola... Practically any of the elite tall forwards all possess that swagger and confidence. They go out and demand the footy because they believe they can win games. Good to hear Hogan is having an impact and I'm really looking forward to seeing him in the NAB cup. -
What's going on with Tapscott? I remember at the start of pre-season he was attached to Jones, now he seems to have cemented a spot in the rehab group. Can anyone shed some light on his injury?

Dunn looks considerably bigger and fitter. I'm starting to get really curious as to how his season is going to pan out. -
Well every suggestion is infinitely better than the Rivers + Garland combo we had goin at the end of last year! I think you obviously need a variety of players 190cm+: Howe, Clark, Dawes and Pedersen are differant types of talls. Between those 4 we have players that can ruck, play on a wing, sit in a goal square and generally scare the shyte out of opposition defenders. The shorter players such as: Rodan, Sylvia, Blease, Davey, Byrnes, Toumpas, Barry, Kent and Tapscott, are a combination of players that are able to play in the middle or inject pace, aggression, defensive pressure and put points on the scoreboard. I don't believe in a forward 6 that are set in stone nor do I believe in rotating to the point of unsettling the line up, a la the aussie cricket team. However we now have the luxury of having a variety of players that have different strengths and weaknesses and though we are yet to see if it is a winning formula, opposition teams are going to be forced to do their homework.

But this is the kind of behavior you expect from that Carlton muppet. Guys like Frawley and Rivers (these days anyway) have their heads screwed on a lot tighter than Mitch Robinson.

I'm reading a lot of complaining about the use of song, but they played that Muse track before every game and nobody seemed to care. I really don't think it's a big deal. I think the song should be a stadium-rock anthem with a big intro. The Who - Baba O'Riley Stones - Street Fighting Man Led Zep - Rock and Roll ACDC - Riff Raff Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run

Terrible news. Nobody likes to see such brutal injuries happening to such young players. On a side note, reading the opening posts to this thread nobody made mention that the dees should pick up Dustin Martin... (hope to god this passing comment doesn't derail this thread)
-
We all know that he's yet to play a game and that us supporters shouldn't put too much pressure on him etc etc etc etc. But my god he has one hell of an attitude on him. If the unexpected happens and he doesn't turn out to be the player we hoped for, it certainly wouldn't be through a lack of effort.

As a student, I do struggle to justify spending X amount of money on a membership; especially when I work most weekends. Generally it comes down to: petrol, food, gas and electricity or a Melbourne membership... Needless to say, every winter I end up living off baked beans and mi goreng but I'll be damned if I'm not going to be a part of that 40k+ when we crack it!

We sure are a ruthless bunch. I think we're entitled to be frustrated by Davey being paid overs, and clogging the list etc, etc. But Aaron surely could have walked out on this club years ago, chasing success. He has been a loyal servant for almost ten years, a BnF winner. Sure any criticism is far from unwarranted at the moment, but criticise respectfully.

Your "likes" to posts ratio is thoroughly justified. Love your work

Yeh I agree. But are we in a not too dissimilar position? Actually, I don't know why I'm starting this discussion. I cannot stand Adelaide!

They did lose Kurt Tippet for nothing. That in itself is a hardly a "free kick" into next year. Is it the integrity of the game you're concerned for, or are you just so keen to see the crows cop a whack?

Training - Friday, 16th November, 2012
Juicebox replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Noticed in the pics the adidas and westpac signage around the boundary. Were they training on Collingwoods ground? Is that something that has happened in previous years? -
Clark would certainly make a good captain. However they've made a commitment to the two Jack's who are quality young men, and will/should develop into outstanding captains.
