  1. When are all you mad monks going to break your vows of silence and return to the real world?
  2. Yes, this is a conspiracy theory. I'm sure many who curse our luck at all the fine specimens this club has recruited over the past several decades perhaps secretly hope it really was that way.
  3. Yes it is. But I doubt TS will choke on his knee.
  4. What are you talking about?
  5. Sometimes I think the draft horse show is a conspiracy by successful clubs knowing full well that they have no chance at prime picks to manipulate the system to hide who they really wan't to draft and building up other players hoping dupe clubs like us fall for it. So far only Jack Trengove is living up to prime draft pick status for us. Or else we are unlucky.
  6. Has any one thought that GWS may be regretting their haste? Nah! I'm sure he'll make a full recovery after a post season rest.
  7. Yes dicky knee and all I presume.
  8. I'm talking about the hypothetical that won't happen.
  9. Trying to wriggle out already are you?
  10. Well that ain't going to happen. If that was the case TS will go down in history as the most selfish pig headed gold digger there ever was. That he is not because he's long gone already.
  11. Because all this spin doctoring by you and others sucks.
  12. And don't forget it was Scully's manager who said a few weeks ago that they heard GWS might be interested and Velocity Sports approached GWS just because they thought there was some interest. Must be very shy folks out there west. Ready with a sack full of money but too hesitant to make the first approach. What a load of humbug. Just like all the moderators here to a man and aided and abetted by some life members and the like steadfastly refusing to diverge from all the spin and tripe dished up by MFC, TS and VC. They are going to cynically keep that finger plugging the dyke for as long as they can. There are going to be a lot of angry supporters who will feel duped when the truth finally comes out.
  13. Don't worry. You will change your mind soon.
  14. Constructive criticism doesn't work for us. Not for the past 45 years. At least vituperative criticism makes us feel better.
  15. If only half the membership and a quarter of all the casual supporters turned up every week we would easily get 60,000 plus on our side of the fence every game. That won't happen without long term meaningful success. Anyone who feels obligated to turn up for every game of the season and shames everyone else who doesn't may have some serious quality of life issues.
  16. I'm sure everyone here has huge faith in the club or else they would have ditched it a decade or two ago. We have to face it that we are a second rate club and all the venting of frustration is perfectly justified given our miserable past half century. As for Junior. I still cannot come to terms that the forced retirement of a 34 year old player could have caused so much angst amongst the playing group. How many players in the competition have played to such an advanced age? Not many I feel. And we are not a wealthy club existing in a perennial premiership window who can afford to keep a favourite son just because there may be room for him. As I have said before if the old won't go away then the new won't come. If there are some players still upset that Junior has gone then perhaps the culling has not gone far enough and there may be still some players around that lack the moral fibre (as demonstrated by some of our highly paid leadership group) to lead this club into a brighter future. Similar things happened last decade to St Kilda and Essendon. Blight and Knights got crucified for culling the stubborn dead wood. Bailey might be next to pay the price of failed culture change . But I am now starting to think our inertia and lack of forward progress may not be entirely his fault.
  17. For the purposes of this forum my opinion will suffice. Any plausible evidence I may or may not have is none of your business.
  18. As I have said many times IMO I am certain he is a 100% gone already. IMO the speculation on the tardiness of his intentions is irelevant because he has no more choice in the matter as this is(perhaps unwisely) the course he chose. Five months ago I was very angry but now I believe it is best for the club(and for him) when he finally leaves for good.
  19. Sadly you win. You will have the opportunity to enjoy his company every other week.
  20. There certainly is, just ask Cameron Bruce.
  21. When winning a football game becomes relative to like defying the laws of physics weird things sometimes happen.
  22. check this out. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/could-melbourne-end-up-the-big-winner-for-losing-tom-scully/story-e6frf9jf-1226096389389
  23. Perhaps it was Eddie?
  24. As I said earlier in the year this farce has degenerated into a face saving exercise for both parties and the AFL. Even moderators here and long standing posters who perhaps know better have played along with the club line in propagating this charade. What for I don't know because not many reputations are going to come out of this smelling like roses. One question remains, I just wonder who blabbed?
  25. I like to see this as our backs to the wall test. We have a final last hurrah chance to put all the negative stereotypes and ridicule we have been labeled with for the past couple of seasons. Instead of bruise free football I want to see plenty of free bruises dished out. Even if we can't beat any of these sides I still want to see them pushed to the limit of their capabilities and make them earn their loftier status. We've got nothing to lose for the rest of the season.
