  1. When Muggleton was doing the tackling drill, he would stop and berate if not done properly pointed out a couple ot times and named players......best way to go I was impressed today by Sellar, Davis, Nicholson, Tommy Mc, Rodan On light duties today were Sylvia, Grimes, Barry McKenzie, Davey and Spencer came out at about 12 and started doing light run through Spoke to Evans, he is back running on the Anti G treadmill this week, they let him out for fresh air, thinks the issue with his back is fixed
  2. Another bit......had a go at Tommy Mc about how Nicho had his measure in the gut runs, shot straight back that he had beaten him in the last one.....which he did....just Also watching Fitzpatrick and Sellar chasing the same ball coming towards you makes you wake up in a hurry on the sideline especially when you are tiny and frail..haha
  3. I was there and took some photos, will post a bit more later, spoke to Jesse Hogan, cool kid, lookin fwd already to playing in the VFL, target weight for him to play at 104KG, so just a medium sized fwd then They had solid nearly 3 hr session outside, spoke to Howie on the way back in and he said weights and wrestling this arvo Had John Muggleton from the Rebels this morning doing tackling technique And how do I put a photo on here?
  4. The point I was trying to make is yes we may well take Toumpas, because I have no input into it whatsoever, but in my opinion we got rid of two similar likes including one drafted in the same spot, personally again personally I would prefer Wines
  5. Why do you think Jones is going to be an inside mid, and you have forgotten Rodan, Byrnes, Bail and Tapscott....personally would hope we go with Ollie Wines, Toumpas is a stick at the moment, and we have just gotten rid of two 'sticks' why replace them with another one
  6. Really good report BH, couldn't wangle this morning myself, nr 39 on my jumper, how did Nev go?
  7. I as a Demonland poster will...... try not to mention any of the following in my posts because they will have no relevance whatsoever in 2013 Cale Morton Lucas Cook Jordan Gysberts Swans Culture 186 Barry Prendergast Craig Cameron Junction Oval Please feel free to add
  8. Why does he need extra beef.........it wasn't a rubbishing diatribe......I think the problem is everybody remembers Neitz and Schwarz so they believe if you are recruited as a forward, from day one you have to be enourmous.....Jack Watts has had to live with this since day one...........If you can get into space or use your aerobic capacity to outrun you won't need the beef....I for one don't want to see Watts bloody wrestling some monster fwd next season.....let's leave that to Frawley, McDonald etc....I want to see him use his footy brain, play off his man, take an intercept mark and then lace out to one of our big fwds coming down a flank...
  9. So you are going on a photograph...which has a strange perspective......have you been to training lately.....I have, if you do, go and stand next to him........he'll even chat to you and tell you he is working at getting steady with the weight that Misso and the rest want him at.......
  10. With the mankini.......you need it big enough for the manufacturers name to be displayed, that way you get a good deal on them....
  11. I agree, had to read it twice to make sure it said Trengove not in the 22.......
  12. Don't do that.........you are letting facts get in the way of a good whinge.......
  13. This is another cool pickup by the Dees, another big body, again not sure why he fell out of favour at the Cats but who cares.....welcome to the Dees Tom,
  14. I was really surprised with Spencer on Friday as well, but I don't think we should be, had a taste last season, realises now he can play with the big boys, growing into his frame, he is huge......giving it everything......but with Gawn and Fitzpatrick fit will need to keep pushing Jamar
  15. Some of the drills, especially the last two sound exactly the same as last Friday.......I think the emphasis is getting used to a buffeting........would hate to be the first player who baulks either at training or in a game
  16. \ Why are we having a few online jokes about a Nth Melbourne player, was going to post a bit more about Friday, but got [censored] off as wellby the continual reference to Gysberts......
  17. Col Sylvia knows exactly where he is at, but which bit of he needs a completely uninterrupted pre season doesn't everybody get......he has great explosive power but if you can't maintain your fitness it loses it's edge.....I am sure Col like everybody else is desperate to get through preseason and the NAB Cup and be fully fit and firing for Rd 1......after what we have seen this post season, if he doesn't he won't be here next year.......simple really
  18. What size do you want Watts to be?.......again he is not going to be a KPF or KPB......his build is more like Goddard, he is 6 5 in the old money, and I assume now he weighs about 93 or 94K which is about 14 and 1/2 stone in the old money....he will be playing across the half back line....and taking maybe a third tall or medium sized fwd......not the gorillas that is for Chip or Tommy Mc...can we please finally after 4 years that we now have 3 or 4 really big guys that can play FF or CHF, and let Watts create
  19. And another bit, just waiting for a meeting to start....how exciting........they had a burst of practicing taking quick kick outs after a behind, both attacking and defending.....so assume they are trying to make the bomb towards the wing the last resort Also the drill for the other half of the squad whilst the above was happening was tap outs and getting the ball and a buffeting and it wasn't just the midfielders so assume it was grabbing the ball in general play as well.......there seems to be a lot of emphasis on body to body Just a note on Jones, Tapscott and Byrnes, made point of watching them, they moved to the old oval, they were doing repeat sprints, agility work, one drill involved one of them running from one point to another and marking a kick from the other two .......none of the three seemed to be restricted at all.....so not even sure why they were separate
  20. Another break, Evans was moving OK, assume he was on a light day....., we never know, the little group of Evans, Syliva, Tynan and Hogan just did bits and pieces......Taggert had exactly the same issue as Evans so if the Medicos and Physios have fixed him would assume they know how to fix Evans One other thing......Craig when they were practicing kick outs was very critical of missed kicks etc but he also praised where required
  21. I attended from 9:15 till stumps today, I even took heaps of photos but tied up at work today, may be able to post later today or tomorrow.....just one quick obo Towards the end most of the squad went on a run round the Tan.....but a group did the 200, 300, 400 on the oval etc, this was a group who have had serious injury in the last few years and Jack Viney Spencer, Davey, Garland (remember his foot) Rodan...they must have lost their base... and they are building it up again...with Nicho, Jones, Tapscott and Byrnes encouraging Jones Tapscott and Byrnes trained away from main group whole session Also stood 10 metres away from Mitch Clark having a bit of kick to kick...exciting And two other things....Dan Nicholson, Lynden Dunn look in incredible shape...and Pencil Spencer is bloody enourmous close up...he is finally growing into his height.
  22. Because my hairstyle is 'slighty different' I have had the opportunity for many chats with Fitzty, starting at the AGM where Bailey had made him get rid of his 'dreads', this started our conversations. He is not lacking in confidence and knows he can play, he has just gone from one setback to another, he has his diabetes day mapped out, he knows exactly what volume of training he can do now.....he was on crutches at the B&F and he said the clean out was the final bit and he was looking fwd to finally getting a full preseason in, bulking up even more and showing he can play....I assume burning off Pederson was the start.... Believe me if he can get a full preseason in, we will be watching him play regularly.....if you have watched him at Casey, if he is fit and firing he is unplayable running around in the 50 with his height and speed............it is blokes like Fitzy, Tynan, Taggert, Viney etc who have got me excited about next season......with the bonus of a fwd line boasting Clark and Dawes....what's not to like
  23. You can investigate anything and everything, you can still come up with nothing, it is the proof....happens everyday in the Justice system
