"And one player that seemingly comes out of the blue, like a Lewis Jetta at Sydney, can also make a major difference. In my view, Sydney don't win the flag without Jetta"......wow.....I thought Jack, Kennedy, Richards, Hannebery, Goodes......yes Jetta is a very good player, but I think they would get by without him, but not some of who I mentioned

I would hate to disagree, but we also have a bin full of the packaging removed from the scarf, as they put them on........
-
I hand out the scarves and each year the Membership Team research what to give out the following year and each year it comes back that the scarf is the most 'popular choice', femaies don't want any sort of hat, tie, who wears a tie to the footy?....etc etc..so yes the Club does listen, it is interesting that the scarf is so 'unpopular' yet at every first game of the season we run out as Members collect theirs

These are a few of the reasons I think we will have a 'good' year, I don't expect us to make finals, pleasant if we do, but we will improve Rodan - out to prove he is not finished Byrnes - ditto Dawes - prove Collingwood wrong, has carte blanche to crash and bash Viney Jones Toumpas Frawley Grimes full preseason again The fierce competition for every spot

"I find it hard to believe how someone so arrogant can be so insecure".... to paraphrase the psychiatrist on Fawlty Towers "there is enough material on this board to occupy a whole conference"
-
Posts like this get regurgitated when certain posters hair shirts are in the wash.....he is delisted, no longer MFC player....end
-
I tweeted him and made a joke about Caro and got this back, "haha, just a knock mate, I'll be training tomorrow!" Even more impressed with him now
-
That was a very poor looking excuse for an icepack, probably just gave it a belt, if you look at the photo that Rory Taggert posted of Jimmy T trying to get over a wall, I am not surprised he belted it
-
Could he have caused it himself by running on the wrong surface during the off season break, a change of surface without the right shoe can cause stress fractures.....it's also nice to Albert posting isn't it?
-
This is a bit of a strange topic, When the heat was applied did the Richmond midfield stand up and get them to the finals, NO, Did Melbourne make the finals NO, Is the Richmond midfield better? on paper it is supposedly, in the heat of battle? Personally I don't give a toss about Richmond Only care as to whether MFC improve in 2013. Comparison is futile, what if Deledio and Maric go down with season ending injuries a few games in this year, where will that leave Richmond? If this happens and we go past them is it because we have improved? No not really

On Barry, watched him at Gotsch's, then spoke to Neil Craig and I said I could see why Neeld what so pleased to get Barry, Craig said something along the lines of it is only training and anybody can look good, but you need to do the hard work, assume he said the same thing to Barry after reading HG's report, he could be the surprise packet this year

But MFC picked Darwin, which we have to ourselves, we get paid to play up there, we are building a good community base, the players actually like going there....what is not to like?
-
We have been to Darwin for the game and a holiday for the three years now, my lovely lady could not understand why I was so paranoid about her not walking off the marked tracks when we went bush, after hearing the briefing from the guy at Robertson Barracks she now understands......the look on some of the players faces was priceless!!!!!!

I was at Brad Green's final game at Etihad last season, and was absolutely appalled by the abuse hurled by 'supporters' as the team led by Brad left the field at the end of the game, I thought perhaps it was just a one off but after reading some of the posts about one of our co-captains, I now realise it is systemic......time for me to give myself one of my self imposed Demonland breaks The topic was about how one of our co captains had unfortunately picked up a problem with his foot and as per the norm on this board these days, it has been hijacked by the minority to have a go at their pet peeve with the Club I was actually waiting for BP to rear his head again and get the blame for recruiting him BH in answer to your question below, no they don't, they only know what the media and so called footy pundits tell them to know

So I am the only one reaching, thought I might be, seems the Footy Dept was happy with Trengove's season, Mark Neeld said so, I seem to remember both Mitchell and Watson being described as 'being too slow to be a top line' midfielder, strange that isn't it..... .I just get a bit peeved when most threads/posts/topics......open the door for somebody, a 'supporter' to have a whack at a particular player, as I have said countless times before I am continually baffled by the number of supporters who seem to hate everything about the Club from the players down and will take any opportunity to denigrate, yet continually 'support' I just don't get it.....if the footy [censored] me off so much, I wouldn't even bother, I used to love rugby league, but I find the game has changed so much, no ball players anymore, so I don't bother with it at all.......
-
Fletch, how is Trengove off the pace, have you been to training and seen which group he runs with, it is the group containing MCDonald and Nicholson that everybody is now drooling over, the lack of pace was a myth started by a couple of the continual naysayers on this board (similar to the fact that Joel Mac can't hit a target, again try going to training and watch) As for your comment that Murphy is a bad example and is now in the top 5 mids really, we'll go on Brownlow votes...he got 11, Watson got 30, Swann 25, Ablett 24 Thompson and Dangerfield 25 and 23 respectively, Mitchell 26, Cotchin 26, Kennedy 19 I could keep going but top 5 no, maybe this year? Trengove is developing nicely, unless of course you want a comet or bright light but disappears as quickly as it appears
-
Move on, they are no longer MFC players... having watched training and listened to a few things I am more optimistic for 2013... Trengove has had a minor setback, that's all, and yet it opens the door for the usual suspects to have a few whack at an MFC player, What does it achieve? obviously it makes you feel better With the new regime we have picked it up early, and exactly what has been wrong with this progress in the last couple of years......what he is not a superstar and dominating games, give him a chance, as another poster said he is still only 21...got at least another 10 years If you want to compare let's compare with say Murphy at Carlton, a nr 1 pick yet it is only in the last year or two that he is starting to show how good he really is. Take a deep breath

Yes, most of us don't like wearing the hair shirt, but if you feel the need to go for it, I have a crown of thorns going free as well
-
He is probably the one sitting on the green horse, I could name the others on the white, red and black but would probably get myself banned....think he does it just to provoke a reaction

The facilities at AAMi are similar to those at the G, so can't see the difference, assume that the G is used because the Public Liability insurance, security, facilities, food etc are already in place and you don't have to duplicate or source.

The Club has been working towards this, but rightly has been throwing any excess money at the Footy Dept. They put on functions at the G all the time Surely you are not suggesting now we are debt free that we look at purchasing a facility in the inner city, even leasing is costly for a minor example ring one of the bigger pubs in Rchmond, Collingwood etc and ask about leasing a room for the night, you will find out the cost If you have a viable suggestion send it to the Club, they are always willing to listen

Tassie was s3wn up by Hawthorn...............and New Zealand?.....bad enough playing a Mickey Mouse game in London or Los Angeles....Kiwi interest would be non existent.......do you go to Darwin, I do, the crowd is not the biggest but the actual interest is.....

Take a deep breath chaps it doesn't mean rucking throughout a game, but an x factor that can be thrown in, that is why Pedersen is there as well....... and forget Clark as the power forward, it will be Dawes and Pedersen, Clark will have a roaming brief...... .he has shown what he can do, without a defender hanging all over him in the 50 , match up nightmare as he roams around.......... especially if we have another tall or two that need minding in the 50........listen to what Neeld is saying

Training - Monday 3rd December, 2012 @ Casey Fields
satyricon replied to The Oracle's topic in Melbourne Demons
Whenever you are watching training or reading these reports, remember one thing.....Neeld loves versatility.....so Pedersen in the backline, Howe in the middle, Fitzy at full fwd I am never surprised when I go and actually make a point of looking for some of the changes -
The only thing they will have to do with Viney is make sure he doesn't break himself. If you haven't or can't get to training, watch the vision from Casey last year. We would have picked him at 3 if we would have had to. I have high expectations of him and after speaking to him I expect him to fulfill them, but then again the FD may have a different opinion on how much he plays.
