  1. OUT: Rivers, Martin, Petterd if the injury is bad IN: Cheney, McKenzie, Bail if fit
  2. Bingo. Too many hospital handpasses, and as vice captain of the MFC, you can't do that. You have to penetrate the 50, run it up the corridor etc. and Bruce just can't do that.
  3. If he's fit to play, which he was, then he plays. Take that into consideration.
  4. I like the idea. But we have to find one that doesn't sound horrible and that knows the names of the players.
  5. Don't make me start on Hale's staging
  6. 6 - Brad Green 5 - Jack Grimes 4 - Lynden Dunn 3 - James McDonald 2 - Aaron Davey 1 - Cameron Bruce
  7. Goes to show that the MFC think we need to shut down the talls rather than apply pressure through tackling against North
  8. I think you just stated the one reason why the game wasn't embarassing. Note that at one stage we only had 26 players up for selection last year.

  10. One of my three favourite players, the newest member of my SuperCoach team averaging 117, and will be recognised as an A-grade player if he keeps this form up. My description of Col. This is gonna make me tune in to it more than I normally do :D
  11. So our dominance over them (well, not in the last six games) means we play them in rivalry round? Nah, Geelong's the second oldest team behind us and we've been natural rivals forever, and we've played some great footy against them (note the draw and 1 point win against the Cats at Skilled in 2005-06). Collingwood vs Carlton Melbourne vs Geelong Fremantle vs West Coast Adelaide vs Port Hawthorn vs Essendon Doggies vs St Kilda Sydney vs Brisbane Richmond vs North That is how it should look. Maybe swap Sydney for GC next year.
  12. Brent Grain will win the best and fairest this year
  13. True, from a positive point of view these are great odds.
  14. He just needs to develop - from what I saw of him against Brisbane, he was a good ruckman, but seemed slow and indecisive with his ground work. He is a long-term plan, and I reckon he can be a good one.
  15. I was reading an article I got off this site and noticed Melbourne's odds are at $1.80 to win this week - North are $1.95. I think these odds should flip, because North have been inconsistent but their good showings against West Coast and Hawthorn (although they are not great teams) and their recent dominance over us should see them favourites IMO. And it is at Etihad Stadium. So, what are your thoughts?
  16. He sounds like an effing good kid. Can't wait to see him in our Premiership team
  17. We do not need nor want him. Go join Carlton, Scott. You're not in our best 22.
  18. I don't believe that Dunn should be dropped, he's a very good player and works hard around their ground. Bring back Rivers for Martin, and go with the back six listed here with Grimes and Bruce listed as interchanges or midfielders, because they are really utilities and possibly even extra defenders if required.
  19. He'll get twice the money at the Gold Coast and he could probably be captain too. He ditched us, he ain't coming back. We simply don't want or need him.
  20. We have a Judd in our team though, he goes by the name of Tom Scully.
