  1. I thought this was about Toumpas
  2. Patience is a virtue.
  3. Hogan is apparently off for the night with his knee on ice.
  4. And Hogan is off receiving treatment as a result of a collision in the first quarter.
  5. According to Twitter, Williamstown have kicked 4 already.
  6. Feel for you...I experienced the same, but from the family perspective with my brother late last year. He spent several weeks in ICU at the Canberra Hospital in Woden with bi-lateral pneumonia. Came close to not making it for a while as he simply wasn't responding to any medication, but fortunately pulled through; and now the poor bugger has to have a hip replacement operation - cant take a trick. It was hell for two reasons...having to wonder every day whether he would recover and having to spend so much time in Canberra.
  7. And I have one for the rest:
  8. Very hard read, yes... I hope it reminds those who seemingly get a kick out of showering the umpires with abuse, that these guys are human just like the rest of us. Wish him and his family all the best in getting through what are obviously going to be tough times ahead.
  9. No you're not... you're an impatient "supporter" who is lacking in any kind of foresight and who seemingly has no qualms about destroying what little confidence remains following years of a lack of direction at the club. The players that were delisted, in most cases had been given ample time to show something (Cook, Morton, Bennell, Martin etc) and those that walked, either walked because they did not like the fact that they were suddenly required to make an effort (Beamer) or because they were in the twilight of their career and were hoping to taste some sort of success sooner rather than later (Rivers).
  10. So it's we supporters accepting mediocrity that has held back the player development at the club? Thanks for clearing that up.
  11. Inventor Douglas Hines bears a striking resemblance to that renowned porn star Buck Naked!
  12. I think tanotopia is the person behind you at the KFC or Maccas drive-thru who is furiously honking his horn because your order has taken longer than 2 minutes to be fulfilled.
  13. He's 18 now, so no problem.
  14. Le Cras... get a mid and crumbing forward all-in-one.
  15. Maybe age is overtaking me and my memory is failing me, but what posting of mine were you referring to with that comment? (the quote function is quite useful - it aids the elderly).
  16. Now I'm probably the last person who should be naming ins and outs, but to my mind If the outs are Jetta, Viney, and Clark, I would like to see them bringing in Fitzpatrick, Blease and Rodan. We will need a little hardness in the midfield against the Lions, and if Rodan can bring in his VFL form from last week, hopefully he can provide that. We will also need pace, so in comes Blease and finally we need insurance in the talls department, so Fitzpatrick gets an opportunity, Would like to see a forward line that included Gawn at FF, Fitzpatrick in a pocket and Watts at CHF (even Pederson on a flank, but I think he might have to go to the backs).
  17. I honestly don't know why. The reality is that a week ago we were a team that many were saying was the worst team in the comp and that they would not be surprised to see losing to GWS. The reality is that in that last quarter, we kicked the highest final quarter score in the MFC's entire history (the oldest club). The reality is that despite the fact they are relatively inexperienced and young, GWS boasts how many top 10 draft picks? Why should a team that has so many talented and fit young players, many of whom have had a couple of full pre-seasons and a full season in the AFL, be allowed the excuse that they simply ran out of steam? Yes, it was just GWS, but let's not down-play our performance... for that last quarter we were very very good and if Neeld can extract that kind of performance out of them on a more regular basis, then we will start to win more than we lose.
  18. Or as little as one week because that is what Milne got, and Milne's offence was no better than Jetta's.
  19. Yes OD, but soon, once the reputation of every player and every administrator in the AFL has been sullied, we will be back on a level playing field and it will be just like nothing ever happened :-)
  20. Of course none of this has anything to do with your desire to see Neeld gone.
  21. Apologies... I hadn't realised that casting aspersions at others was inappropriate only if one ADMITS to not being across an entire issue.
  22. "He worked bloody hard to get in the team and now he may be out of it for good" - that was what I was referring to as "rubbish"... you immediately assume that there is a very good chance he will not get another game with the club. Ok, maybe not rubbish... maybe just a mild case of MFCSS :-)
  23. As I have stated twice already, I am not across all of the news relating to this issue (and I am sure there is much that you do not know yourself), but I can only assume that there is a point where Misson has to place trust in his medical experts (he obviously could not foretell what was coming). Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
  24. Sorry, there was a typo in my response... I meant to say "if he (Bates) was NOT divulging anything, what could they have done?"
  25. H_T, I really couldn't say, but I doubt they would have been privee to Bates' private sms messages to Dank (and vice versa), so if he was divulging anything, I'm not sure what they could have done.
