My 3 word player analysis V Gee What Shite
Bobby McKenzie replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
Clark - Best Clubman -
No, not a loan but a GIFT. Might ease his conscience a bit.
-
It takes two to tango. Were any Giants charged or were our Demons wrestling with themselves?
-
OK, What about OUR Jeremy? Fantastic mark, great kick, pace etc. Maybe he has Cameron covered as a forward? Have a look in your own backyard!
-
I'm certainly not embarrassed to believe that Jack Watts is a star. Young Cameron looked pretty scrawny and with just 13 disposals it is no wonder I didn't note him much. 2 of his goals were from iffy frees too if I remember correctly. But, I could be wrong he might be OK as he matures.
-
LOL Watts is sheer class and anyone with some basic knowledge of football would know that. You obviously don't. Didn't see anything special about Cameron today. Did you?

Just how good will Nic Naitanui become?

RR, Did you happen to notice a guy called Watts today? Compare his skills to NN. As different as chalk and cheese. One is a champion footballer the other a high leaping athlete. You really should be singing the praises for Jack. After all he is one of us. -

Hey RR! Where did I say he was a complete dud? Just because you and a few others overrate him doesn't make him a dud. He's a good honest trier. -

Spot on JT. Have a look at his stats week by week and realise that last week was a flash in the pan. Playing in a strong team too with plenty of support that Jack Watts doesn't have at present. I do admire RR unswerving loyalty to NicNat though. -

What did I tell you. Today, 4 kicks 7 handballs for a grand total of 11 possessions. Back to his normal stats indeed. Superstar?????? -
Your love for Nik Nat continues. Hope Clark gets some deserved recognition.

Fair enough, each to his own. Have you had a look in your own backyard though RR? There is a bloke called Howe. I live in Perth and hear my tennis mates rave on about him. 'Gee, I wish he was with the Eagles(or the Dockers)" Yet we don't consider him a superstar do we? At least not yet. Looking at highlights of both players you would say in a loud voice,'SUPERSTAR!' but we both know that a more consistent effort by young Jeremy is still needed. IMO the same applies to big NN. -

Gee, RR you sure have a crush on Nik Nat. Is it his wonderful hairstyle that woos you? -

No superstar and never will be. Flamboyant at at times. Have a look at his previous stats and those to come. Mark my words it was a 'flash in the pan' performance. He is ungainly and his kicking is not up to standard. Even with his solo effort he couldn't finish it off with a goal. Missed badly. People shouldn't get carried away with ONE night out performance. -
Performance last night just a 'flash in the pan'. He is not a star. Have a look at his stats before last night and in the games to follow.
-
Thanks for that mate.

How do posters create new posts? Every time I open Demonology I get a list of topics but when you click on one you get the 'unobtainable' message. Do you need to be a computer whiz?

I too am worried about young Jack. He is slow in his movements and thinking as well. He is just not the player of 2010 and 20011. Obviously, IF he is injured he shouldn't be playing but he is TOO GOOD a player to be playing as he is at the moment(all season sadly). He is not and never will be a draft pick dud. Remember last season everyone was rating him much higher than Tom $cully? Out of form? No, one doesn't remain out of form all season. Maybe he needs just one good game to remove the self doubts he seems to possess at the present time. Let us hope it all comes together for him very soon. I love his attitude and know that he will show his real ability.

Couldn't agree more! People want us to be tough nuts, we get one and they criticise him for being 'rough'. Fair dinkum it's unbelievable!

The tough, relentless Footscray captain Charlie Sutton has just passed away at the age of 88. He was a real Bulldog and was instrumental in Footscray's win in the 1954 GF over the rapidly rising Demons. Incidentally, apart from his own club, the only other AFL club to honour him in the death notices was none other than the mighty Melbourne Football Club. Consider the old saying, "There is always someone worse off than yourself". Until his death poor old Charlie had been waiting since 1954 for another Bulldog premiership! A long, fruitless wait of 58 years. Let us hope that our turn will come in the not too distant future.

I was quite shocked when the goal umpire ruled touched on our shot for goal in the last quarter. The Essendon defender was well behind the line when he contacted the ball. What do others think? It could have cost us the game.

My 3 word player analysis V The Bummers

Welcome back JoeBoy. I have missed your excellent input. I don't always agree but most times you are spot on. -
Just loved the way Sylvia barged his way through the pack with brute strength and booted a ripper goal.
