I would be shocked to say the least if he played more time in the ruck next year, particularly given the nature of his injury. His updates on FB re his recovery have been very positive (as you'd expect), with him talking about a big pre-season. So whilst it may be insurance to bring in the additional talls and avoid another Rivers/Garland shamozzle, I'm confident Mitch will be playing just as big a role in 2013.

I'm with you hardtack but I don't think you could say he had a better year than Mags who played 17(?) games and whose tailing off can be somewhat attributed to him being moved out of the guts, where he was doing his best work. He's no star, but I think young Couch deserves a little more than 3 games to adjust to the pace of AFL. He still managed to lay more tackles per game than a certain C Sylvia.

Sweet. Just 1 game or more in 2013. 3 months? Nah, make it 6. I'm tossing up between "P_man is my favourite Demonlander" and "I miss you, Beamer".

It's amazing how many times you hear, "just give him one more season.." Everyone's been guilty of it. I'm a Martin fan but I'm resigned to the fact that he should probably be traded now while he has some value, particularly with the likes of Pedersen and Gawn in the frame.

I understand and appreciate that. I was also making reference to his condescending words regarding our club. Plus the way he dealt with Wellingham's exit. He just comes across as a real grub.
