I can’t believe Johannisen is a Norm Smith medalist.

If the Dogs lose I wonder who that colossal peanut Nathan “gamble responsibly” Brown will deem to be the best team in it. Last week he said Brisbane was the best team in it. After Brisbane lost he decided this week that the Dogs were the best team in it. Maybe next week Geelong will become the best team in it.
  3. Given we’ve lost to Adelaide and Collingwood this year, you can’t begrudge anyone feeling a tad nervous. That said, this should really be a ten goal win. Some Hawks fans are saying it’s the worst team they’ve put on the field in many a year.

This round could not have panned out much better from our perspective.

    Pipe down filthy Southsider (
I assume) Wouldn’t shock to see him finish top 5. Not like there have been many Saints to take votes off him.

Birchall’s first goal as a Lion and he got a couple of handshakes lol

I would prefer not seeing the Saints sneak into the 8. Second oldest list in the comp. They have recruited for right now and will be a menace if they can somehow find their mojo.
  10. I honestly don’t know where the “short step” accusations come from with Salem. They must be incredibly subtle short steps.

Happy to see Lockhart getting high nunbers. Great player to have waiting in the wings.
  13. I like that description. His role and its flow on impact aside, he looked like the Ben Brown I hoped to see, minus the run up that starts in the car park. In fact he was a little bit better than expected with his ground level work as others have noted. I had dismissed him as a lost cause below his knees but perhaps not so. He’s a seasoned key forward who knows where to position himself and how to impact the play for the benefit of others. He isn’t renowned for his contested marking but when fit, like he appears to be, he competes strongly in the air. He should’ve been awarded at least one but probably two grabs in dangerous positions. His hands were looking good. And when he gets more of those shots on goal, which he will do if he plays like that in future, he’s a reliable set shot. Something we can’t say about many players in the league let alone in our side. It’s one game but I’m actually pretty pumped about what I saw of him against Port. On that evidence he makes us a better and more potent side even if he doesn’t star himself. I reckon he could be the difference in making us a serious challenger.
  14. “Offers nothing” lol Jesus there are some clueless dopes out there. His value to the side last night was both obvious and significant.
  15. 6. Petracca 5. Oliver 4. May 3. McDonald 2. Pickett 1. Petty Salem very stiff.
  16. Text from Port mate at the game: “Far too good”.
  17. Fantastic win. Benny Brown in for the rest of the year.
  18. How on earth did we lose to Collingwood? I was at that game and I still don’t know. If we played like this we would’ve beaten them by 100 points.
  19. Umps saw the free kick count at halftime and have evened up the ledger.
  20. T Mac!
  21. Petty’s best game to date.
  22. Yes. YES. COME ON.
  23. I’m a Nibbler fan but come on mate. Wakey wakey.
