  1. Best win of the year for mine. To steamroll them like that in the second half. Incredibly impressive. That’s the win that gets the last doubters on board. If you don’t believe now you never will.
  2. Well, it got interesting alright. 63-15 since halftime.
  3. Brilliant response. Just needed Weid and Koz to kick those sodas.
  4. Those misses just kill you. We should be three goals up.
  5. Holy crap, Max getting a 50. Write down the date.
  6. I’m a Weid fan but when you’ve done nothing all night you simply have to kick that.
  7. I reckon this Petracca kid might be a keeper.
  8. Hunt can go.
  9. Feels like the first unpressured mistake they’ve made all game. And should’ve resulted in a goal.
  10. The way BT pronounces Salem’s name makes me irrationally furious.
  11. Who is actually playing on Bailey? 3 goals before halftime ffs.
  12. Dogger standing up in this game now. Needs a few mates.
  13. Jesus every bounce is falling their way. That one split the difference between Hunt and Spargs and fell perfectly into Bailey’s hands.
  14. Next level. We are constantly under heat. Surely they can’t keep this up for four quarters. Second half will get interesting.
  15. Getting spanked and it’s a 7 point game.
  16. The Optus Stadium sellout for the Dreamtime game absolutely solidifies the idea of Adelaide Oval for me. Will potentially be a fantastic and unique event. Make it happen.
  17. I’d like to say because footy isn’t a beauty contest, but these days that’s not 100% accurate.
  18. They are attacking the corridor the same way they did against us and carving them up. No fear. Hopefully this is a belting. Would be very tasty indeed.
  19. 7AFL made an FB post posing the question, is Gawn/Petracca/Oliver the best midfield trio in the AFL? A heap of Carlton fans responded suggesting it was bettered by Pittonet/Cripps/Walsh. And I don’t think any of them were joking.
  20. That wasn’t my overall takeaway from his comments. He highlighted the Dogs turnovers which, while they were certainly about the way we blocked off options, were unnecessarily risky. That’s not a fatal flaw in their game. That’s bad decision making in those moments. Dermott’s point was that he still sees the Dogs and Dees as the two front runners and if they played 4 more times it would be 2-2. I don’t think it’s insulting to be considered a flag favourite alongside the Dogs after last night’s game. My main issue with his comments was saying it was “mostly role players” after the big six who are playing out of their skin - Gawn, Oliver, Petracca, McDonald, May and Lever. So Salem is just a role player? Langdon? Fritta? Come on now.
  21. Great post but this in particular rings true. I had the same thought about the Carlton win so really it’s becoming a running theme. We are growing to know what to expect from this team now. There is a base level of performance, sticking to structures and executing roles that can be expected. They trust one another out there and the trust is flowing into the stands. This is a team that is properly humming now. It’s bloody hard not to get overly excited about it.
  22. Rarely seen a post game thread with this level of unanimous “hell yeah we stuck it right up em!”...ness. I’m still a bit hazy after a three day golf trip but even in my groggy state I could appreciate the significance of that win. Loved the absence of passengers across the four quarters. Also want to second the shout outs to Riv and Harry Petty. It’s awesome to see two young players visibly maturing with each game.
  23. Can usually rely on the Saints to make you feel better about a loss.
  24. Safe to say those who mystifyingly left Oliver out of their votes last week won’t be doing the same this week. 6. Oliver 5. Langdon 4. Lever 3. Petracca 2. Harmes 1. Gawn
