  1. geez as if you need sleeping pills to get to sleep after being on the booze. Sounds more like shards to me....you think we are stupid AFL and Richmond? For the record Ive seen these 2 in action at a bucks party. wow wee ive never seen anyone beg so hard for some dust. Pardon the pun
  2. Smells of it. Why were J and J pulled out of the team today?

  9. What is wrong with you people??? Money money money!!! I too last week accepted a job that will pay me double of what I was earning. Should I have stayed at my old workplace on half of what I was offered? NO!! Screw loyalty, its not about that...Its about looking after number 1, its about setting up your life, your family, being able to educate your children and giving your loved ones the best life possible. Being able to live comfortably. You lot arent going to pay Scully's bills or buy his house for him. Gee whiz dillusional lot you are!
  10. i love both AFL and football, but i would always choose football over the AFL. In terms of skills, surely football or soccer purely for the fact that it is more difficult to use your feet to control a ball than your hands. When feeding the ball in AFL you either kick of handball or slap the ball along the ground. Having played both sports, the difficulty of feeding an accurate pass by foot in both games is probably even - none is harder than the other. In terms of their secondary distrubution, handballing accurately is far easier than heading accurately. it goes further than this with the smaller things such as: - having quick hands under pressure is equivalent to soccer where there is often one touch play when under pressure - this is far harder than simply having fast hands. - Attempting to curl/swerve a ball is far harder with a round ball. - Soccer players must beat a goalie to score a goal Receiving a ball under pressure is a skill of both sports, but i feel taking a mark under pressure is far easier than controlling the ball on your foot/thigh/chest/head - a ball which may have come from 60m away. Taking a mark from a ball kicked 50m away is no harder than taking a mark from 10m away - or at least its a very minimal increase in difficulty.....for soccer however it takes supreme technique and skill to take a ball down with close control off a pass from this sort of distance. Taking a big pack mark is more about courage than skill - taking the mark IS the skill. Then there is the showboating element. in AFL you can run with the ball to beat player i.e. Judd although all this time you are able to hold the ball which is far easier than dribbling. Bouncing an oval ball is not hard for anyway with half decent coordination. Does this even compare to being able to juggle a ball with your foot 1000s of times, using the thigh & chest, balancing the ball on on your head etc? Beating a man in AFL is about speed and agility, in soccer it is speed, skill and technique. i could go on and on. The best way to put it would be that soccer skills are a more difficult skill set to AFL. AFL takes the cake in terms of physicality, courage, athleticism, but football takes it in terms of skill, strategy, and variety in playing style. If you have played both sports competantly at a relatively high level, and you were not being biased, you would agree with this.
  11. Limited set of skills? you got to be joking!! It takes years to master the skill of controlling a ball without your hands...cough cough Karmichael Hunt and Israel Folau. Pick up a ball and learnt our awesome game in 5 mins.
  12. lets not forget the real football is on....the round ball type
  13. good on him. its really not a tough decision and the same goes for scully. people will bag him for being disloyal and so on. yesterday i accepted a job that pays me almost double what i have been earning. it makes life a whole lot easier and buying fast toys a whole lot easier congratulations to them
  14. Spot on. My mate is great friends with Ben Holland. Rates ND as the best coach he has had in his career. Holland believes that we had a team under ND that was capable of winning a flag. Only problem was that our lack of funds etc prevenyed us from hiring physios etc, therefore players having to wait longer for post game rub downs etc. Which of course lead to silly stupid injuries which kept many sidelined
  15. there are melbourne players involved..... Melbourne, Carlton, Sydney, Richmond and West Coast
  16. Good timing by the club. Feels like receiving a Christmas gift somewhat. Even though we paid for it.
  17. Great report enjoy reading about how were travelling. My only concern is shifting to Casey for the summer. I feel we have a good thing going at AAMI Park. No offence to anyone i couldnt care less if we sever ties with them. Too long of a drive yo get there for them I say. Im ready for the abuse
  18. Id take Cousins in a heartbeat. Deestroy8 what makes you think our boys are angels? I could tell you who I have seen around town and what Ive seen around town. But back to Benny. Im sick of this "we dont want druggies" crap. What we do want is "premierships". WCE have won 3 flags since enetering the comp. Ye sure they had druggies but they won flags. Carlton "cheats" and they get rewarded with high draft picks and a rosy future. Wake the [censored] up people its about PREMIERSHIPS and I wanna see one. Who cares what Cousins does off the oval. All I know is that he is the hardest running player in the league, to the point where he is throwing up his guts. TAKE HIM IF HE NOMINATES
