  1. Can anybody help me please? I live in WA and I am looking to get some melbourne gear for my young daughter. The link to the melb shop from the afl website only has a really crappy selection of things. Is there a website ir any where I can go to get some decent gear. Help me before my partner gets her some Freo stuff and turn her like she did my older girl.
  2. With the emergence of Martin in the ruck I think it would be a good idea to have Jamar spend more time in the FF role as he would without a doubt have to be manned up with their best defender, next to him the likes of Jurrah although if he does not work on his defensive side then I would go with Pettard. As collingwood showed if you can lock the ball in deep in your forward line then the goals will come very fast and easily. I think jurrah would make a very good CHF with his very accurate kicking action (last weekend aside) and have Howe and cook filling in when the holes open up. Although obviously not what he was drafted for I think Watts would make an excellent CHB as he reads the ball as good as anyone in our team and his ability by foot is already up their with our best kickers and will only get better in time
  3. I agree but hopfully he is enough of a professional to know you cant walk into a new work place and have everything they way you want it from day one. It takes time and unfortunalty sometimes never happens but if you do a Leigh Colbert (I think it was) and [censored] of on your mates because the grass looks greener some where else then it can bite you in the ass
  4. Why would you be happy to play at melbourne right now. He has been treated like an outcast altough this seems to be partly by his own doing and with all the media pressure and the spotlight on him he cant be to happy. With how serious he is about his football I doubt he will be happy at many clubs unless they are in a premiership window. I live in WA so I have a very limited view of what happens down there but from all the articles I have read and everything on tv melbourne isnt the kind of serious club that he would feel at home in, and I doubt if it will be for a while yet. If we can convince him to stay then perfect but if we cant then we should get what we can for him while we are in control of the situation
  5. excuse my ignorance but who the hell is ryan ferguson
  6. in reference to the first comment what was the go with the sewell trade, I didnt even know we went after him. What went wrong with the trade that lead to disaster. Like I said I dont even know the start of the story but he would have been a hell of a pick up

    The Draw

HAHA that is a very good point the only thing better then one good exciting quarter is 4 of them

    The Draw

I do agree we piched them points big time which is always a good thing. Sydney out played us prob 70% of the game but does the fact that we were able to get back into another game but again to not walk away with the full points will that play on their minds the next time a game gets tough??

    The Draw

What I want to know is was the draw on the weekend a good result or a bad one. Now obviously 2 points is better then none but is the continueing pattern of us not being able to hold onto these close games goimg to have an effect on our confidence going forward, or do professional athletes specially young confident ones have the ability to brush it of as a learning experience. I ask thing because I have played a fair bit of sport and some of it at state level ( not football ) and having experience close games and loosing a lot of them it does effect your confidence, is this a problem the club has or have we simply been unlucky and that is how the players think of it???
  10. isnt there a kid call kieren hooper or something that a lot of people are talking about and expect him to still be available at 12. Dashing midfield to exciting forward prospect. Any one know about him. sorry if he has already been mentioned before
  11. The reason he got a new contract is simple folks. Miller left and he took Pia with him there fore spencer had to stay because his lady friend is hot, the ledger has to balence people

    Aaron Davey

the radio about ten mins ago
  15. It had just come over the radio that the tigers and bombers are throwing the kitchen sink at the Dees to get Aaron Davey. Remind me if I am wrong but he signed a 4 year deal last year so I would think this is all but a time wasting exercise by both teams cos it surely would never happen. Story was hille and their first round pick from the bombers and I missed what the tigers come up with but surely not.
  16. Everyone keeps going on about pick 12 going to North for Hale but we are not offering pick 12, We are offering pick 32which I personally think is a good deal. Does the change of pick change any ones mind about the value of this trade????
  17. when you say round robin I dont spose that means rotating to different grounds around the country does it (say Tom Price WA) if not im out sorry
  18. Jesus Don what are you stupid nobody wants the number one pick these days they are like so over rated. Sorry but any way lol my point was he is to badly needed at the monent to eeven remotely consider unless something like that come up which is pretty remote. With our young list I am very keen to trade picks but reluctant to trade players until we know not so much what is required because we know what we need but what is more important is to give it a year or 2 to see what we dont need. When we have this answer and the draft is back to normal then we can unleash hell and off load our scraps to top up our already impressive list with more good young talent to keep our run at the top going for as long as possible.
  19. Thats what I love about these forum sites, if people put an idea forward that isnt generally accepted then people abuse the poo out of the poor bastard and bag the poo out of the thread. What ever happend to just saying you dont agree with it and moving on. I personally can see where he is coming from but the simple fact is we have any one that can even get close to replacing him right now and that will seriously affect us moving forward as a team. in a few years assuming the likes of Gawn, Fitz and in my opinion Spencer (who is a dud) have learnt the game then I still wouldnt llike it but it would be more likely to happen. Jamar is far to valuable right now and I doubt if they would even trade him for the number 1 draft pick as the hole it would create would be huge.
  20. Despite what it will take to get him here I can not see a down side to mundy, a very skillfull ball winner that kicks goals regularly. Therefore takes pressure of both our young small bodied midfield and forward line. I dont see how we can loose.
  21. Sorry I was not aware that he was only a little fella in terms of AFL any way. I agree that we need to give our current foward line time to develop but at the same time we do need someone that can constantly chip in with a few goals similar to green as he prob wont be around for more then a couple of years. Although he does seem to be getting better with age history has it that when you hit thirty things start to slow down and injuries kick in, I just feel we need another foward currently in the system and if knights is only small like you say then I am open to ideas.
  22. How about Chris Knights from Adelaide, he is a 24ish year old foward with a strong body that is yet to re-sign and is from Vic. He would give us good coverage till our current skinny (but still growing) fowards have enough time to mature and could be a direct replacement for green when he pulls the pin in a few years time. Any thoughts???
  23. Sorry to go against the trend but I actually think Tappscott will be the best pick up from this years draft, At least for the next couple of years. Now im not stupid and with the quality that Trengove and Scully seem to have they will almost definatly overtake him but for the next few years with his body and skill leval (not just in front of goal) I think he will be the one that stands out.
  24. As far as I am concerned your right in saying that we should go after one of them guys if not another teams number 1 ruckman, but having said that if we were to trade one of our young guns to do this I would not be happy with Charman. Although he is prob there number 1 ruckman in terms of skill I would not be happy giving them one of our future stars with a possible 10 year future for a 28 year old that although very good has had some major body issues and prob only 2-3 years left before the decline. Like I said its good in theory but as far as im concerned he is the wrong choice.
