Perhaps some here don't realise just how far these players and their bodies are pushed, physically (and mentally), and how close to the edge they are - and need to be. There is little/no margin. And it's not just about drugs/alcohol, it's about everything from diet to sleep to recovery etc. etc. If Harley can meet the requirements, great, get him. But you would want to do your homework.

Our season in a nutshell.

Almost 2 goals, both from turnovers, kicks and handballs not reaching their intended targets.

Jack's been fine/improving in the second half of the year, and has started to look like a different player. Another pre-season with McCartney and Goodwin and who knows. He isn't the Nick Riewoldt Mark 2 that we'd hoped for, but he's handy with ball in hand - which is more can be said for a lot of our players. I'd take Watts over Howe or Grimes any day of the week. If he's part of a mega-trade, fine, but hard to see that trading him alone would gain us anything much.

Would be public, surely. Odd though.

Trying and getting aren't the same thing. Fingers crossed, either of those would improve our midfield, perhaps considerably.
