What are the leaks destabilising the current Board? Is this a disaster? Although it may be wrong, I've heard that Primus isn't going particularly well. It's been reported that several AFL Clubs (four?) will be looking for a new sponsor coming into this year, so if this is a disaster, we're not alone in experiencing it. I think this is what he's saying - First, a well-connected President can work on selling the story to potential sponsors as well as / in place of a CEO. Second, if we don't have a CEO by the end of the year, we'll be in "deeper muck" than the Primus' departure. You might not agree, but I don't think there's a contradiction there. I'd say that was a major factor in pledging their sponsorship - they get a great plug without having to fork out the money.

I think the aim is to wipe $3M in August, and you're right to be worried - I'm not sure we'll make it to $3M, and can't see us entirely demolishing the debt. However, it's still been a great effort to raise so much money, and I'm sure there's more to come. I'm certain I read about an event planned for those who want to donate $500+, but I haven't seen any more info on that in the members email, debtdemolition site, etc.

Indeed. Obviously Richmond are a better side than us right now. However, if we compare Richmond today with where we'll be in a few years time, after Bailey's had a chance to re-mould the list (as Wallace has), I'm confident we'll be streets ahead.

If you listen to Bailey's post-match conference, he mentions the overuse of handball, suggesting it was due to the pressure Geelong put us under. I don't think that an unaccountable and uncontested gameplan is what we're aiming for. However, plans tend to go out the window when you get smashed. Hehe, maybe. I agree that we should have had some players forward. However, this observation is wrong:

Maybe there should have always been Melbourne players in the forward line. However, there wasn't always a Melbourne player in the forward line (let alone players, plural).

I've been there, and seen the mound which rings the oval. It's also apparent in the photographs - particularly the Roos v Melb game, where you can see people sitting down.

It looks like many people would have struggled to get a decent view of the game in 2007.
