  1. Robertson's ego got the better of him because Jurrah asked him for #24 and Robertson was happy to present it to him? Good point.
  2. Of course he's on his way out. However, a 9th placing in the B&F suggests he was in the best 22 this year. I think he'll hold his spot for next year and play a majority of games, but I'd be shocked if he played in 2011.
  3. There's no reason not to keep Spencer on for another year, given the size of the rookie lists. However, much of the positivity about Spencer is really just about hope. I think that's fine - a season or two back I posted a list of all the AFL rucks and their draft origins, and they're certainly not all high picks. However, it is reasonable to conceder that apart from being tall and having a bit of aggression about him, he's not showing much at the moment. Hudson's hardly a mobile ruck either.
  4. If he was a horse running in this race he'd be such a dark horse he'd be called Pitch Black
  5. I think this is more accurate.
  6. Turnover of the list is going to be interesting. Premiers will be forced to delist three, and use pick 62 to pick up a player. EDIT: Maybe not. I saw this in an article on Polak:
  7. That's what the Club said when they picked him up.
  8. It will all depend on whether they're playing decent football. If they're not, we won't keep them hanging around. If they are, they would be kept anyway (particularly given the draft situation mooted for the next few years).
  9. Good man - neither do I. However: You wanted opinions and opinions on the book had been posted previously.
  10. I heard urine in water bombs, which makes the event less easy to shrug off IMO.
  11. Despite injuries I'd say that overall, it was a positive year for Jamar. He's clearly our #1 ruck...which is somewhat of an idictment on our rucks stocks.
  12. -1 to merging the current thread into this...a better idea would have been to link to the old thread.
  13. Try the search function - it's been mentioned on here before. I haven't read it but the consensus seemed positive.
  14. I read basically the exact thread word-for-word a few weeks back, so I'm hoping it's just old news from the Demonology thread's OP.
  15. A lot of AFL supporters are like this. We've smashed our membership records two years running, on the back of two terrible on-field seasons. I fail to understand why our own supporters would push a stereotype that's not only false but is in fact damaging to our Club's 'brand'.
  16. I don't think he has the atleticism to go with the smaller forwards we'd want him to play on, does he?
  17. He performed better than I expected but I'm still not sold on him making it.
  18. Roy Morgan (?) does research every year or so and that's their finding. Did he also recognise that the Bulldogs would have been canned if they weren't the only team in the West?
  19. Why is that? A lazy $800+K not good enough? Debt Demolition should (and I imagine it will) run until the debt is...demolished.
  20. Correct ... Sorry, couldn't help myself. I think you're right though. If we can allow Davey to be more damaging it'll be nice, but that will be easier in a better side.
  21. Guys like Bell, Newton and PJ are, to many, only saved by contracts. Cheney and McNamara are uncontracted and not everyone is a believer.
  22. I'd rookie another ruck - would have done in the past and would keep doing this until further notice.
  23. If he can improve again next year we're in business.
  24. He wasn't fast by small forward standards either... I was hoping this facet of his game would improve in 2008 when he lobbed up at pre-season training pretty fit.
  25. I'd rather Sunday - more likely to have other commitments on a Saturday.
