  1. hah! You're the one who can't understand the basic premise of what has happened. It's actually quite simple but you and many other dullards here continue to talk up something that has not actually happened OUT: Howe, Toumpas, Fitzpatrick OUT: 6, 25, 64 and 2016RD1 (pick 8-10ish) IN: Melksham, Kennedy, Bugg IN: 3, 7, 50, 94 as you can see we have SWAPPED two first round picks for better versions of themselves. The fact one of them is next year has NOTHING to do with it. That's like taking some of your pay from next month and spending and acting like it doesn't count even though your next pay cheque will obviously be lighter. VERY SIMPLE. We haven't gained any new picks. In fact, we have lost a second round through this transfer of players. I am not even being negative, I think we've done well. but go ahead and keep spruiking the magical 2 first round picks we apparently conjured from nowhere because GC just felt like giving us a gift moron
  2. or for a free upgrade of your current first round pick, which is what we did
  3. the thing is even if we stagnate or only win 1 or 2 more then the deal we made will still be a breakeven or better
  4. That's not right is it? I thought he is on the path to being ready for round 1 barring any further setbacks.
  5. yep, and we have the three imports also. I think there is a good chance one of them will hit a stride with our coaches and the role he is given and become a valuable contributor. The other two should at least be better versions of the fringe players we will inevitably be forced to field when injuries occur. Add that to the 4 aforementioned top10 picks coming in and we should be looking at a notable improvement on our weekly 22.
  6. i didn't say it was a negative. I gave it a B. I am one of a handful of people who has been asking for sanity this trade period in fact. But I'm not dumb enough to simply ignore two picks we gave up to make it sound better
  7. FMD we lost another first round pick for next year also we also lost a second round pick this year Can't believe how many seem to not realise this
  8. Is it just me, or does it feel like this year the bulk of the top10 seemed to have a lot of question marks over them.. what I mean is that it seems these days if you want to become a great player you can't really be lacking in anything. If you are too slow, too soft, too short, can't kick etc that one flaw will render you unfit for battle. Just doesn't seem like we have any 'complete packages' to choose from this year.
  9. yep, along with upgrading 6 to 3 this year
  10. yeah but we also gave up our first round pick next year few folks seem to be overlooking this
  11. 46 we've had all along, as you said but we also have 50 now http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-10-21/indicative-draft-order-your-clubs-provisional-picks-as-trade-period-unfolds
  12. we have 50 now, and we didn't at the start so it's IN
  13. Forgot Fitzy. Verification again please?
  14. yep, that was the aim, now fixed to add the pick 43 out comes up pretty well I reckon essentially we swap 2 players we didn't want for 3 that we do and get 2 first round picks upgraded a few crucial spots each
  15. Can someone please correct me if this is wrong remaining picks: 46,82,100,118 OUT: Howe, Toumpas, Fitzpatrick OUT: 6, 25, 64 and 2016RD1 (pick 8-10ish) IN: Melksham, Kennedy, Bugg IN: 3, 7, 50, 94
  16. so you're suggesting that everything Mahoney has said this trade period has been truthful and eventually accurate?
  17. I think it's reasonable to suggest the both GC and MFC agreed the most probable outcome is for us to finish around there and therefore called it an equitable agreement 11th is only 2 spots higher but it's an extra 4 wins plus % compared to last year
  18. he's saying 'what if we have TWO first round picks as a result of trading for a second one - which do we have to give to GC?'
  19. I don't know if you are right or not, but surely you can't be.
