  1. fact is it has been out of us and North for a while now 'who is going to be the next to get the sword?' in the last couple of years we have come a long way which has left them with their necks on the chopping board
  2. what are you talking about, you have no more evidence to suggest he is staying than anyone that says he is going has... and there is every reason to fear it... you will look a bit silly with your condescension if he goes won't you
  3. We've lost 15 in a row at AAMI (not including last weekend obv.) How can you say there is nothing in it, we have been a better side than both Adelaide teams at many stages over the 15 losses, and still got done, also lost by plenty on most occassions
  4. because you'd have to be a pretty average bloke to betray their confidence and post their name on a public website? and they would know you did it? in any case I learnt my lesson with the Judd issue when about 20 different people cited their reliable sources that he was coming to Melbourne
  5. what a disgrace not looking good is it PS what's his point anyway "Melbourne should be given no more sympathy if Tom Scully decides to join GWS than any other club who has lost a talented player to GWS or Gold Coast" is the bi-line well yeah so what if they were trying to poach Dustin Martin from Richmond the public response would be exactly the same you cretin
  6. geez I don't like that that's the definition of someone putting their money where their mouth is in reaction to a supposed 'rumour'
  7. rubbish been told by many reliable sources he was a demon until Carlton simply outbid us why the hell else do you think he made the choice anyone who thinks it wasn't purely about money is living in LaLaland and the same goes for Scully
  8. because of an uncontrollable sense of greed, Judd went to Carlton instead of us. He was always going to be ours until Carlton pulled their illegal-yet-somehow=sanctioned shifty one and took him from us. GWS has even deeper pockets and is also well sanctioned, and most likely we will get shafted again just don't tell us it's cos of our facilities please Scully
  9. that was before Dick Pratt got involved
  10. fancy that, Thursday night there's that short straw again
  11. the weird thing is that when you read his original quote he doesn't even categorically say it is a done deal he just says it sounds like it is one, everyone has misquouted him
  12. are you suggesting we are given fair treatment in this regard Collingwood, Carlton and Richmond in Melb.. what are the odds they would send one of them instead of us to go to AAMI, would never happen in a million years
  13. That has absolutely nothing to do with anything He is player of the Australian Football League and the process by which that works is called the National Draft. He like 95% of players is not at his boyhood club and that doesn't factor into it in even the tiniest way
  14. good onya Stynesy "Obviously, you speak to the right people and then you realise it’s just rumours," Stynes told the program. in other words he asked Scully himself I would love to be alone with McGuire and a two-by-four
  15. excellent post agree 1000% it is those tricky little kicks, and his ability to execute them under extreme pressure, that make him the player he is. Occasionally one doesn't come off, but most of the time they get us out of touble while simultaneously launching an attack. I wish we had 3 more of him.
  16. this was the conversation at AFL HQ Douchebag1: 'well clearly it is logical to schedule the adelaide clubs and the WA clubs to host a match and have a side come from interstate, so 2 victorian sides will have to draw the short straw and travel straight up' Douchebag2: 'ok, so, game 1 at AAMI... Melbourne?' Douchebag1: 'obviously'
  17. It seems odd to me that we would have an intra-club, followed by round 1 of the NAB and then just a week off before NAB cup rd. 2. Does anyone know if there is going to be another intra-club or a scratch match against another club at Casey this weekend???
  18. i wnder if the care factor could possibly be lower
  19. at one point he pulled up looking proppy after a mark (or free kick?) and I tell you now i was nearly in need of a diaper
  20. I am a huge Moloney fan but gee he needs to think before he kicks. The match was in the balance and he kicked it to Maric who had 3 blokes on him, not good enough from a VC
  21. impossible call.; Gun to my head right now? I keep Jurrah
  22. Just got home, obviously no0t goint to canvas the thread. Best for mine: In a week were everyone focused on the Scull, a few blokes put their hands up and said 'WHAT ABOUT ME?' Trengove best. He was everywhere, 'I am yet to see a single flaw' was how he was described by a leading SA reccruiter at the time of his drafting. I didnt see one either tonight. Watts second. He is only getting started, pure class with almost everything he did tonight. Jurrah, he just went out there and played the role of Jurrah. Pure magic wehenrver he goes near it. Who else can gather his own smaother and set up a goal like that, what a complete freak, he has started early this year. Others : Maric showed he can be an AFL forard pocket. Joeal MacDonald did what he ahs done since he turned up which is be a hard, reliable backman. Sylvia and Davey both did what they do wek in week out. Grimes also impressed. Man we kicked ass to0night. Let me remind you we have lost the last 15 games in a row at AAMI. Made them both look second rate tonight, even after a difficult week. I am so proud. GO DEES oh yeah forgot to mention the bloke who took a couple of gave savers late in the piece. Everyone at the pub knew who it was when i went 'GARLOOOOOOO!'
