agree- will be very interesting to see if he plays full back next year or on the half back line again. He has become flexible as a player and could indeed still play on a wing, such as against Richardson- if needed. Just shows howmuch we have to be patient with talls as some have wanted his head before this year.
-
Agree with you totally. His girl friend is Rick Kennedy's daughter. Might we do a trade with the Bulldogs.
-
Pity we could not get an update via our MFC website.
-
It is a very interesting decision especially now the Saints are playing Geelong. I think, he will. due to the talls . They need him to at least be on the interchange. If you agree- whom does he replace?
-
I observed Mark Williams in the box of Eastern Ranges last Saturday for the whole match -whether he was there for assistance or just there as an observer I found it very interesting as much as Wheatley whom stated earlier has been assisting there the whole year. We must have a strong synergy with the club in some sense.. Does anyone know?
-
NOT TRUE unfortunately. The physio went to Yeata at quarter time and told him that Tom was injured. He basically put him in positions such as the forward pocket etc.. and last quarter to the bench as he had hurt his knee- Whether it was jarred,whatever-I do not know however he hobbled off. Very interesting to see how he goes and position he plays Friday night- after only a six day break
-
Interesting that he was placed in the midfield for some time in the last few games. Was a great contributor in the Under 18's in the guts. However, stamina has been a problem. With a huge pre season who knows the future.Could develop into a very flexible player for us.
-
Interesting to note that Hutchie on Footy Classified believes we should pick a midfielder and a tall in our first two picks. Maybe Scullt/Temel ?
-
That is the truest thing you have stated in a long time- talls we need. Again as you have stated earlier along with two top midfielders. Or maybe a top midfielder and a tall as our first two picks? I'd prefer Scully/Trengrove -- Temel,Carlisle(you will see them both next Friday,or Panos)- Hey?

It is real sad even an indictment if one has to twitter the CEO.to get information which should be given as a matter of courtesy. That is my opinion. Can cope with yours, but will not be twittering him. However, he claims he reads our website here, may get others off their backsides and react.

Have you seen him play. If so, and I rate you as a judge-he will be a player. Yep- I acceopt the Bullies may pick him up however,Scott, Crocker etc.. were there yesterday and quite impressed- He will be a player. The most impressive tall in the TAC finals overall. BY FAR.Unfortunately feel now- Pick 18 will not get him. If you haven't seem him live- you will have the opportunity to watch him on Foxrel live next Friday night.

thanks again for updates-how many did Jack kick- only the one- did he play HFF AND SOMETIME IN THE MID.PLS ADVISE

You always give your true opinions which I have expressed to you personally and I thank you for that- however I do expect a reply to an email.Whether it is to my liking or not. I do expect that at least one update could have been given re the progress to our injured players. And re the Debt Demolition- I do expect to be told what the final amount is. That to me is just down right courtesy.I feel the MFC have a right to keep us stakeholders informed. Regarding Vital information- I believe an update on our injured players should be regarded as vital to us- the members, supporters and followers along with the final amount of the debt demolition amount. An update on the Youth Summitt-vital to the ones whom gave up their time to be there. That is my opinion- but I respect yours. What about others?

It was very disappointing to see him go off at the 12 1/2 minute mark of the first quarter. This was the second major injury to the ranges during the finals with McDonald also injured in the first final.. Griffith seemed to do a shoulder doing ruck play. Gee he is very injury prone- maybe a someone earlier suggested too much so as an early pick. Maybe too risky.

Many thanks for your advise.I have done so,using this medium without even the decency of a reply. Has anyone else? General Ph. I have one major beef currently with the MFC -that is how it is currently letting us know vital information. We have been asked to contribute all year to different things ,lastly the debt demolition fund- and for weeks now it has sat on $827,924,we do not know if this is the final total or what. Many of us have contacted them directly without a reply or any notification.Secondly, I am peeved in the way we are treated by our own website at MFC.I feel that they could update us on major points such as injury updates- How is Blease going, Garland, Wonaeamirri etc.. Again, it is my opinion, we members do not ask the club for much. However we are stakeholders in this club and deserve at least the right to be and kept informed. What do you think? & What can be done about it ? Maybe we need to get a petition going or something like that ar get Whispering Jack to write to them or Andrew but try to put a collective voice to this issue. Your thoughts please? They ask us to come up with directions, ideas etc.. we do and send them in and do not get the courtesy of a reply sometimes. Also,I'd like to get an update on the Youth Summitt and what happened or happening after that.

Scully and the Stingrays at Visy!
jayceebee31 replied to Demonic_Inferno's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just arrived home from matches played today and Scully makes a Grand Final where Dandenong Stingrays won by around 40 points over Geelong.Earlier Eastern Ranges were beaten by Calder Cannons- Carlisle injured again- in the 12 minute of the first quarter- looked like a shoulder. Scully was not his brilliant best today spending alot of time in a foward pocket and little match time in the last quarter.Might be carryng an injury. Dandenong Stingrays 5.3 6.7 9.13 11.17 (83) Geelong Falcons 1.2 2.8 4.9 5.12 (42) GOALS: Dandenong Stingrays: Parker 2 Treloar 2 Sheppard Millard Cottrell Bastinac Scully Kerr Amalfi BEST: Dandenong Stingrays: Andrews Bastinac Robertson Shaw Heddles Pitt -
It is my opinion that Martin has temendous upside. He basically came from nowhere these championships. By memory in his last game he had 21kicks up to half time and just was outstanding. He dwilted to have 27 and kicked a goal. He was and is no where as fit as some of these big name players. He is also, the best kick amongst these up and comers.I feel he is another Buckley type. Trengrove, is definately better at this stage -but has the upside, improvement. Also rate another young lad- Josh Toy- he seems to be the forgotton one- mainly because he is suppossed to be picked up by GC. HASN'T AS YET. I would rate him also as top 5,with a hell of upside..This is what Barry Prendergast, Turnbull, Connolly have to decide. In recruiting, one has to also look at the current playing list and where these new recruits fit in.It is called the Macro picture.I am more concentrating on talls. Will be looking at a few today. Give my update later.

If he was a liability last night, then I am no judge.I thought he played surprisingly well.Judgement was good. Won on the night.

GOOD POINT ,ALTHOUGH WHEN ONE DISECTS THE ALL AUSTRALIAN TEAM ,YOU FIND 2009 AFL Under-18 All-Australian team B: Andrew Hooper (Victoria Country) Blayne Wilson (Western Australia) Bradley Sheppard (Western Australia) HB: Josh Toy (Victoria Metro) Daniel Talia (Victoria Metro) David Swallow (Western Australia) C: Anthony Morabito (Western Australia) Dustin Martin (Victoria Country) Mitchell Duncan (Western Australia) HF: Kane Lucas (Western Australia) Jack Darling (Western Australia) Gary Rohan (Victoria Country) F: Brandon Matera (Western Australia) Matthew Panos (South Australia) Ben Cunnington (Victoria Country) Foll: James Craig (South Australia) Jack Trengove (South Australia) Tom Scully (Victoria Metro) Int: Luke Tapscott (South Australia) Ryan Harwood (Tasmania) Dylan McNeil (NSW/ACT) Travis Colyer (Western Australia) Coach: Andrew Lockyer (Western Australia) — Assistant coach: Brenton Phillips (South Australia) Blayne Wilson has been picked up by Gold Coast,Sheppard has been talked about as a late first round or early 2nd. Woewoeden whom coaches him thinks he could be a great pick up.Ditto- Lucas. Swallow and Darling are too young for this years Draft- expected to go 1&2 next year to GC.Matera also expected to go to GC. Colyer,Duncan talked about as as second round picks. Morabito will go top5.Also have alook at last years All Australian, the WA players were picked up, but very late or rookie--Pearce,Deboer,Walters.,although the standouts went early- Naitanui,Rich,Hill. Also, in my opinion andI have been watching these kids for over 40 years now- they are more equal ability this year, not as many standouts. Actually, I feel the draft will leave alot of extremely good footballers except not many that become champions. Except SCULLY and MARTIN. I also think that recruiters tend to pick players from their own state if they can. Wait and see how many are picked from SA -Iam tipping 6

As I STATED EARLIER REMINDS ME OF A YOUNG GOODES. TEST WILL BE TODAY. COACH WILL PUT A BIG PLAYER ON HIM TODAY- SEE HOW HE GOES.and again today, when he played to go into a ground final was a little Franklin like, Kicked two goals and is in a Grand final versus Scully.
