  1. Just was wondering if anyone had taken any notice of who other teams with early picks were rating and going after. It'd be interesting to see the other clubs opinions.
  2. last year myself and melbourne fans I know were extremely frustrated with Bate Thought he had skill, but was getting lazy with limited run and limited defensive effort. This year thought these aspects improved a lot which was great to see.
  3. fair enough then. but not always a greater indicator of their size vs opponent though.
  4. I love the stuff about it all being relative.... I go to an ultra academic school, where i'd be seen as one of the middle students, i mean, I'm one of 5 guys who wanted to do an outdoor-ed subject, out of 300 boys... but i'd still do twice the work and effort that guys at my old school would do. but hey, i'll get somewhere someday.
  5. oh and thanks for the good wishes for yr 12. Its going well.

  6. my bad. should have thought about that, didn't click. Can you play over 18 in TAC cup?
  7. Haha yeah guys...been a good year. But as Carn Dees says, business end of the year. Done well so far, not stressed.
  8. born when mate?
  9. Geography excursion?
  10. my votes for Nietz if he'd do it. He seemed like he a lot to teach.
  11. Being in yr 12 now, and doing two prac exams today I know how little they matter. Good on him, take a quick break before launching into the real study.
  12. FWIW i was told by Jason Davenport's mum that Jason reckons Mark Williams is fantastic and that there is a good atmosphere down there at the club. apparently a lot more accomodating than Geelong. Just thought it worth pointing it out that maybe its not as bad as everyone says over there.
  13. I'd say yes. As long as he can play... all you've told us is that he's got the body to be awesome.
  14. he at least could be a makeshift forward till we find another big forward. Might save us from making some rash decisions at trade or draft time.
  15. I remember the coaches, and many fans singing love to Buckley last year. He was a ball magnet and always was exciting, but possession usually sucked honestly. I reckon it's too early too delist him, but if he doesn't get the ball where its meant to then im not sure he'll stay.
  16. I haven't got to see much of Maric play, but taking it from the posts here that he did ok? Also thought worth noting how Harrington mentioned reviewing the squad after trade week. Says to me that Melbourne's going to try get involved in trade week more than normal. Seems like quite a bit will depend on our success there.
  17. has something positive to say, and any of the guys that might be in doubt to be at the club next year, he's mentioned in reference to how they're going to go next year.
  18. got a training footy signed by all the players from 2002 or 2003 i think
  19. Brock didn't say anything anyone didn't know already, not least Newton. He's quite complimentary really. Don't think the criticism of brocks comments is justified really. Yeah, in the modern day football media world we seem to expect nothing more from players than buzz phrases like 'one week at a time', but really we should be praising honesty. its refreshing.
  20. Missed one A. Davey!
  21. Basically since I recognised colours my Grandma started waving red and blue dressed teddy bears in my face. This has been a common theme for all her children and my cousins. We never really had a choice! At every christmas, easter, birthday, family meal that I can remember she'd get us kids to sing 'Its a Grand Old Flag' with her at some point. Now she's entrusted me to do the same for my 2 year old nephew.
  22. Gaining more and more respect for him as a coach. He really seems to understand the game ang young players well. I found it interesting to see how often he noted Bennell and Jetta. He obviously sees a lot in those guys, both being guys not often talked about on here.
  23. Jacey, Pretty sure he's 29.
  24. one thing I love though, is how his work rate. He seems to always be looking for an opportunity to help out team mates, either with a shepherd, or just running hard for support. He's a big body already, and I can see him making a big impact as a marking forward/pinch-hitting ruck. Not of Naitinui calibre, but I would go for him with maybe pick 34, if he's there. Maybe earlier if trades work our way.
  25. 6- Morton 5- Sylvia 4- Jurrah 3- Frawley 2- Moloney 1- Wheatley
