  1. We had problems with our forward connection which we tweaked and worked on until it’s now at an acceptable level. Our team defense was in question after the Bulldogs game, but to their credit the coaches worked on a plan for the saints which should hold us in good stead for any future games. The weird thing is we are losing the clearances over the past three weeks and if we can get our strength back in that area we should have most bases covered. I suspect the centre clearances are due to Maxy not being 100% because of injuries, but hopefully he can recover to be somewhere near his best.

    Just needs another preseason .
  3. I’d like to see them give Oscar Baker and Bedford a run As they would give us a bit more run and haven’t done much wrong in the twos by all reports.

Can’t be called a blunder unless it can be proven otherwise, so it’s pretty poor reporting from channel 7 . The replay looked like the ball may have been touched after it crossed the line and the goal umpire called it a goal
  5. It was a good win set up by the coaches to implement a game plan to stop their run and it worked. I felt we could have won by a lot more if not for two factors . Continuous turnovers, and kicking out passes that seemed to just pick out saints players standing in their own . Being beaten in clearances again, Jack Steele absolutely killed us. We don’t seem to be playing a tagger at all anymore?
  6. Rapt to win and there’s a lot of room for improvement, mainly because we have actually lost the clearances three weeks in a row, yet consider that a strength of ours
  7. 6. May 5. Trac 4. Langdon 3. Salem 2. Oliver 1. Lever
  8. Good tough win under pressure against a side above us on the ladder, and we didn’t really play our best, but showed real grit. My nerves were on end, what a relief! May and Trac were outstanding.
  9. May and Petracca are almost embarrassing their teammates they are that far above any of them
  10. We have to bring the work rate, back up run and pressure. If we don’t win tonight we won’t make a dent in the finals anyway. If we win it’s back on track.
  11. With dahlhaus getting off , the AFL are now saying it’s ok to sling tackle. Absolutely ridiculous and it defies logic.
  12. Dahlhaus just got off for exactly the same action

TMacs been out of form for the best part of two years now. Its just not good enough and we can’t afford to keep gifting him games until he is absolutely banging down the door with consecutive great performances in the twos. We have to try guys like M. Brown and Joel Smith in his position until Jackson is ready to return.

He is a natural forward and looked in form in the preseason. Then they decided to play him back. Like Harmes could ruin his career
  15. In Jordan, Bedford, Rivers, Gawn, J.Smith M. Brown Out Harmes, Sparrow , Preuss, Pickett, Tomlinson Hannan
  16. We still lack runners and only have one real one in Langdon
  17. 6. May 5. Salem 4. Viney 3. Weed 2. Olivier 1. Lever
  18. I had alarm bells before the match when they asked Goodwin about the Dogs midfield and he said we will back our mids against there’s. Guess what? Theirs were better.
  19. We played two bottom sides and a severely depleted collingwood on a short break. We needed to prove ourselves against a good midfield today and we were shown up. Teams always get us with pressure and run. We have no answers. We are not that good.
  20. If we keep picking out of form players like Harmes, McDonald and Tomlinson , this is the result
  21. We are no good under real pressure. It happens time and time again
  22. They look harder at the ball than us and working harder on the spread
  23. Bulldogs the better side
  24. Playing very risky football on a windy day spells trouble. Petracca kicking across goal
