Fact is we are so starved of talent,we are pinning our hopes on kids, who havent played a senior regular season game yet. Years ago they wouldve gone straight to the under 19s, and earned their spot. Having said that i do believe it will come. What we really need to see is the improvement of guys like Trengove, Tapscott,Watts ,Blease, Sylvia etc.. To get to the next level. The kids should be icing onthe cake.

Clark?

Theres no doubt Cyril has blue chip skills,but a bit inconsistent for me, goes missing alot. Id rather a Dale thomas or Dal Santo who are both out of contract. Consistent reliable midfielders are what we need.

We are on the right track. With guys like Viney,Toumpas ,Hogan , Trengove,Grimes,Dawes ,Howe,Jones,mcDonald,Watts, we have a god base to work with. Over the next couple of years we should add some more good mids to our list and we will be stronger.

I reckon we are missing Blease and Clark more than any other players. Just that midfield run from Blease and Clark......well he is just Clark, we are a 4 or 5 goal better side. On Davey, what i have seen of him is generally very good, a big improvement on last two years. Remember he had a very good indigenous game, and was great against Port last week.

What i was actually talking about , was the size of his head, its quite large and must weigh him down.But seriously , your right, i hate personal attacks, just wasnt thinking straight. I do think he has gone backwards fir some reason though. From all Australian to being indecisive. Not saying he is terrible, just not as good as he was a couple of years ago, when he tookthe game on.

Completely wrong...Watts is one of the most nimble blokes ive seen for his size, and is one of the best kicks in our team , top 3 easy.

Its going to take us a few years before we build a decent midfield, Viney and Toumpas will need time to develop. Sadly our brigade of second stringers just cant match with the elite of the competition.
