  1. Agreed ACL is very harsh. What about a PCL? 🤣
  2. Surely the club appeals the JVR suspension. Was graded medium impact, McStay played out the game could argue it down to low impact surely?
  3. Onthe radio after the game they said "all incidents are sent to the tribunal at this time of year" - is that correct?
  4. Same thing happened last year against them round 20. We probably need to consider it's not just bad luck but where they are forcing us to take our shots from that is causing the inaccuracy.
  5. Nothing changes - same thing happened last year with Langdon and back in 2008 with Watts and going back further to 58. Same old story with Collingwood. Don't go and retaliate with Maynard, stick a knee into Hoskin Elliot when he's standing in the defensive hole, dump Sidebottom and Pendlebury in tackles, flatten Murphy or Mihocek.
  6. You weren't a fan of bombing it straight down the guts to an unmanned Quaynor?
  7. And cost his side a flag in 2018 😜
  8. I mean seriously what's the point in the cops being there if they just laugh off abusive/aggressive behaviour? There's a difference between banter and aggression.
  9. They're not called the filth for nothing
  10. We scored a goal with 10% of our inside 50s Collingwood scored a goal with 24% of theirs
  11. I don't think Grundy would've helped last night. Our problem was marks inside 50 and converting, two things he doesn't do well. Maybe we could've put him in the ruck and Max forward but again, Gawn rarely plays well as a tall forward, he's better around the ground.
  12. Yet we get a set shot taken off us because Quaynor runs into Kozzie and falls over. Another forward entry taken off us when De Goey got a free for holding on the southern stand wing when it looked like nothing in it. Pies players duck into tackles which should be prior opportunity and holding the ball but nah, they get away with it. We got away with a couple of blatant throws but even with the frees going out way I thought there were some shocking decisions against us. That's not even mentioning the typical Oliver/Petracca getting scragged around contests, players getting blocked out of marking contest, Gawn being blocked trying to run downfield etc etc Clubs keep doing it because the AFL let's them get away with it, then they wonder why the game looks like a scrap.
  13. Daicos didn't get hit in the head/concussed
  14. Not me, I'm hungry for more and I need to see it at the G.
  15. He did early on but we were hampered by 6-6-6 and then switched to a defensive focus because we would obliterate the bottom teams but couldn't go with the top teams. You can't argue with the results, maybe we've sacrificed too much offensively but again I think it comes down to personnel. If Petty plays forward, if Weideman comes on, if Hogan fulfilled his potential etc etc When Hogan left we had the choice to trade for May or use the pick on King. Can you imagine our defence without May? We don't win the 21 flag that's for sure. I'm confident in a Petty/JVR/Fritsch/Pickett combo moving forward but Petty has had trouble staying on the park recently and JVR is still raw. We would love another KPF but who? They don't grow on trees, yeah we could've gone after McStay possibly but there hasn't been much else for the simple fact that teams who have good kpf do everything they can to hang on to them.
  16. I think it's personnel. If we had Petty instead of TMac up forward tonight I think we win. I don't think Goodwin is coaching the players to deliver the ball inside 50 the way they are. Yeah we play a forward half game and want to get repeat entries which crowds out forward line. I think we need coaching in forward craft - but a more mobile forward like Petty creates space and gives us options. One thing I will say is I never really thought we were out of it. I am still proud of the team even if disappointed in the loss and the execution. It felt a lot like the Carlton game, we just needed one of our 50/50 chances to go through but everything felt against us tonight. One thing I will say on the coaching is I thought they could've tried putting Pickett into the middle for a couple of CBAs and get Trac up forward for a bit. But we are severely limited in our personnel inside 50 and it has completely hamstrung us.
  17. It makes lunatics of us all 🤣
  18. When you jump in the air you have two choices - brace and smash through your opponent or try and limit the impact on the opponent by deflecting/absorbing some of the force. No he could not have avoided contact altogether. Yes he could've avoided concussing Brayshaw. I think he will get off but he shouldn't. The AFL is a joke when it comes to these kinds of things, they look at the outcome they desire and work backwards. Call it the Barry Hall/Trent Cotchin rule.
  19. Hoskin-Elliott was allowed to stand in the hole and take uncontested marks without getting cleaned up from behind or a knee going into his back. Will Hoskin f'n Elliott
  20. Such as.... Not like they grow on trees. Would've been nice if Weideman came on but it is what it is.
  21. I tend to agree but for Cox I'll make an exception. The guy has no redeeming qualities, he can get stuffed
  22. I agree but I also think he'll get off
  23. Petty and JVR
  24. Smith was fine, our only lead-up forward
