  1. Why is he talking about premiership windows and flags? Their sole focus should be winning next Friday, this is exactly what I was talking about earlier. Do the little things right and the big things will look after themselves, the club still has this culture problem where we think we have an entitlement to success instead of working hard for it. They sound like [censored] when they trot out this stuff.
  2. Out: Howes, Lindsay, Fritsch, Billings, Henderson, Sharp, Salem In: Lever, Pickett, Turner, Windsor
  3. We also kicked a bunch of opportunistic goals from the goal square/goal line.
  4. Garbage, we were minor premiers and they didn't finish top 4. Outscored them 100-7 from midway thru the 3rd, dunno how you claim we "stole" it, that's just insulting.
  5. If so that's an extremely weak mindset. Both Cats and Pies could've thought they'd missed their windows after 2021 and look what happened. I feel like our club (supporters and club) is always looking too big picture instead of just worrying about what's in front of them. Forget about dynasties, windows, flags, finals etc etc just worry about winning the next game!
  6. 112 point turnaround from round 23 last year
  7. He has the tools but needs someone to coach him! He is our #1 key forward now so it is easy to defend against him when he is still playing on talent alone. We will kill his career through coaching and development neglect just like the many who have come before him.
  8. Amazing how easy the game looks when you put the ball to your teammates advantage.
  9. Feels like a dream - we dominated a season, won a flag but no-one could see it. Now we're back to sucking again after choking in 4 MCG finals in a row.
  10. So it's all the players fault?
  11. Even Harmes
  12. Goodwin, Stafford, Chaplin No wonder JVR isn't kicking on, he needs someone in there coaching him how to develop as a key forward
  13. I can't believe Richardson has survived this long. Thanks for the flag Goody, 2021 was an amazing season but the writings been on the wall for a while. It's now a matter of when, not if.
  14. He's already gone, it's just a matter of when
  15. Goodwin [censored] up, as soon as I heard it I knew it was a red flag to the media who would obviously pursue it during the week. It just came across as excuse making and a way to divert the attention away from him as coach. Good coaches take the heat for their players they don't burden them with more unwanted attention. The footy media is a cesspool but as a club we certainly don't help ourselves. Stop giving them fuel! And stop watching, I don't watch any footy media anymore other than sometimes a bit of First Crack because it's on after my kids watch the Bounce. Never listen to SEN, I don't know how anyone can stand it. Plenty of other better things to watch/read/listen to that wasting time on these boofheads. If I want my footy fill I'll listen to our very own Demonland podcast, the Deebrief (sometimes) and Junktime for some comic relief.
  16. We got little more than 15k to two games in prime time when we were fighting for finals. Richmond got a poor crowd in a season where they won the wooden spoon. Keep denying reality all you want, it doesn't change the facts.
  17. Let's be serious, those crowds are propped up by Pies/Tigers supporters. Look at our crowds vs Port/GWS in prime time late in the season. Keep denying reality all you want but these things matter to the AFL.
  18. I don't know about the players "not turning up" yesterday. They had a crack but were off their game by a bit and the Roos were on. We got run over in the final quarter but that's a long way from not turning up at the first bounce.
  19. I disagree, I think we were looking to go through the corridor from the beginning. We had more chances as the game opened up a bit in the 3rd (and we caught North on transition from turnover) but we were looking inbound from early in the game. Agree about our forward setup it is [censored] abysmal, the fact it continues the same as it has for 2-3 years without being fixed is evidence it is by design which is as you said baffling.
  20. We had prime time games last year and pulled slightly more than VFL crowds, what did you expect?
  21. Some great footage uncovered by Rhett Bartlett a couple of weeks back
  22. We're clearly taking it through the corridor more so I assume that's what he's alluding to. Problem is we still butcher it kicking inside 50, we're just doing it a bit quicker than last year.
  23. If we don't win games the rest is moot
  24. No chance we beat Freo and I think Suns will touch us up as well.
  25. 6-6-6 killed it too, he used to have one or two players off the back of the square but can't do that anymore.
