  1. The compromise is we typically play at home round 1. When did we last travel interstate round 1? 2020 v wce and before that I think we've only done it two more times ever.
  2. Collingwood is the other participant on Kings Birthday but they manage to get a proper bye - they played the Sunday after giving them 13 days break vs our 10 for a Thursday night game. Just because we play certain games doesn't mean we should be punished for it. The AFL compromises the draw enough I'm sure they could figure out a way to give us a proper break over the midseason bye.
  3. 1 a proper bye 2 no trip to Geelong 3 no trip to Tassie 4 all home games at the G

Baltimore Philly KC I think Texans, Jets and Arizona are great value this week, all should be favoured. Stroud and Richardson have been fantastic, hopefully Young finds his groove with the Panthers.
  5. Collingwood got 70k vs the Swans on a Sunday, 66k vs Adel, 61k v Freo and 60k vs Port. Carlton had a full house at Docklands against Lions and GWS. We got 42k vs Sydney, 38k v Lions, 33k v Crows and 29k v Freo.
  6. We have enough quality up forward as long as they stay on the park. Petty/JVR as key fwds Fritsch/Petracca/Smith as midsize fwds (and likely McAdam) Pickett/ANB/Spargo/Chandler as pressure fwds
  7. I thought he was a flake at GWS, certainly proved me wrong and stood up in big games. Great finals series from Hill.
  8. Of course, that's what I'm saying. Look at our average home attendance vs interstate sides compared to other teams average attendance vs interstate sides and I'm sure we would be further down the list.
  9. Similar to Frawleys deal?
  10. Let's be honest, our average home attendances are pumped up by playing other Vic clubs, in particular ANZAC eve and Kings Birthday. What are the numbers when you look at average attendances vs interstate sides?
  11. Barassi....
  12. If we had a proper home base we wouldn't go out in straight sets, we'd be the undefeated champions of the universe!
  13. I've been following the Spurs for a few years now, since Mourinho took over. Never got into the EPL until covid and watched the doco series on Amazon Prime which is the reason I chose Tottenham. Plus the other MFC supporter in my office is also a Spurs fan so that helps. I don't know why they benched Son the other night, he was the only one looking dangerous and scored two goals, both relatively quickly after Arsenal scored. Romero had a filthy day, hope they can get the win this weekend over Liverpool.

Bucs Chiefs Vikings Can I just pick the Chiefs 3 times? When o when will the Jets have a competent QB 😭 doomed for eternity Atlanta @ Jacksonville is the London game so beware anyone punting on that. Those games are always wonky especially with those two sides.
  15. We need a replacement for May but I think he'll be playing at a high level for a couple more years at least. Gawn is an interesting one, when he's on he's one of the most important players in the comp. But ruckmen are typically the easiest position to replace and you don't need an elite one to compete. Gawns strength is his around the ground marking. Petty and JVR coming on should improve our window, we may have to transition to a more attacking side if we dont find a great May replacement? The picks we got from the Jackson trade could really set us up, we need to nail this draft and have the capital to do so.
  16. Naughton good mark, can't kick. Petty/JVR is the future.
  17. Listening now and I note @binman mentioned his disappointment at Kozzies low pressure acts/pressure rating but with Kozzie playing more as a lead up forward out of the goalsquare he had a different role in the 2nd half.

    Cowboys, Bills, Philly
  19. 100% he should be our target
  20. Exactly, there's only one way to deal with it and that is to win. To paraphrase the great RDB "You give me wins/premierships and I'll shut up!"
  21. It wasn't just Pickett, I think the side came out with intent at the start of the semi. If you can stomach watching the first 10 minutes again I think you'll see players trying to physically impose themselves. Viney was lucky with his bump not to get a suspension either.
  22. But someone said Yze takes the reigns on Matchday? I'm confused 🤔
  23. What about handballing the ball along the boundary and it goes out (ie Sam Walsh seconds before the Petracca deliberate was paid)?
  24. Petty JVR Fritsch Pickett McAdam Petracca Smith ANB/Spargo I would try Bowey at half forward (replace Spargo?) and I think Chandler was ok but didn't take his opportunities so should be seen as depth in 2024.
