You want the players to be clinically depressed?

I dunno, would've been great to see him jumper punch Robbo
  3. No premiership for over 50 years and no finals for over 10 years? This is the darkest timeline

I don't get why people who think words are meaningless etc pay attention to the footy press during the week. I don't necessarily disagree but if you're just gonna say "actions not words" etc you may as well just shut off outside gameday other than to get injury reports

Between 2012-2014 we won about 9 games so the chances we would lose after the Darwin game are quite high.

    Lazy
  7. Where does Craig Jennings sit in this? Supposedly he's the guru breaking down opposition gameplans. Chaplin? Richmond have a ball movement coach (Caracella). Maybe we need to start adapting our coaching panel to the modern game ie not line coaches but situational coaches.
  8. I'm not saying we'd get much for him but what is the other option? Keep him for 5-7 more years? Delist him and get nothing? A pick in the 30s similar to Watts would be ok.
  9. His career isn't finished but my hope in him being anything more than depth is. He is slow, lazy, zero awareness, constant turnover and doesn't kick enough goals. He'll play til he's 30 I just hope it's not with Melbourne. Maybe Carlton would like him, they seem to bank as many GWS rejects as they can get their hands on.
  10. Tyson is finished in my eyes, too slow by hand, foot and mind and turnover merchant who rarely hits the scoreboard. Not sure what he actually brings to the table these days. Depth? Maybe.
  11. It doesn't ruin my day/week but I do find myself questioning why I wasted the day trekking to the game when I could've sat home and watched on the tv if I wanted and used the travel time on other stuff (like mucking around with the kids). I was already feeling a bit crook and tossing up whether to go, chances are next time I'll just say stuff it and stay home.
  12. Yes they did and that's the part that is so bloody frustrating. They have been absolute rubbish and they played their best because we allowed them to. We kicked the first 3 goals. Kick the next 3 and they would've gone back into their shells again. But nah, we let them kick 6 of the next 8 or something and allowed them 7 goals in the 2nd quarter (umpire assisted but that doesn't matter). It happens repeatedly against weaker teams our players think they can bag the 4 points without playing the game, it's a pathetic mindset for professional athletes.
  13. The decision not to include Spargo or at least Garlett after last week was baffling. The umpiring was abhorrent but funnily enough probably not as bad as last week. Some of the decisions were disgusting, there must be an agenda at play (not necessarily against us) because if not and the umpires are truly that incompetent then the competition is screwed. It's like that time the NFL refs went on strike and the replacement refs stunk it up. Except our umpires aren't full-time and this bunch of mentally challenged muppets is the best we've got.
  14. Nah we kicked the first 3 and thought "another easy day at the office". Then completely switched off until it was too late, same story every year.

If his entrance is as remarkable as Kane's was I'll forgive him. Perhaps he will make his debut at the MCG one week after the GF during the Undertaker/Triple H match?

    Roos picked his replacement
  17. That's an extremely tenuous argument

I wish the ex-board members, coteries etc would support instead of undermine. A key reason we've been a shambles for 5 decades. I have no issue with the pies getting rid of Pert, did anyone really think Eddie would commission a review that called for his removal? Something had to give and it wasn't Eddie or Bucks. Similarly with the Malthouse/Bucks succession did Pert mishandle it or was he given a poison chalice to manage by Eddie? Not saying Pert hasn't had his flaws or even that he was the right choice but those two factors don't worry me.
  19. It comes down to the players. The coach can only do so much, it is up to the players to drive that culture change. The coach, CEO, president, Board, FD, supporters can create the environment but the players are ultimately responsible.
  20. But those games were against middling to bottom teams
  21. A Port supporter on BF said it best, we're not soft we just lack composure. Once we settle a bit and start to think our way through things instead of bashing the ball forward and making life hard for our forwards we will be very difficult to beat.
  22. Trees aren't an issue particularly if they're not native. The only tree that would be an issue is the scar trees https://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.mcg.org.au/~/media/files/mcg/general/yarra-park-tree-strategy-2013.pdf%3Fla%3Den&sa=U&ved=0ahUKEwjW2uW-i_HbAhUCF5QKHcVOCWEQFggQMAI&usg=AOvVaw1PjJg-0zczRGxejlrjyzbA
  23. Yarra Park also far more accessible to the CBD.
