Whatever you think of him, his evolution of the flood into "Clarkos Cluster" changed the game and won flags. You don't three-peat by just being lucky.

It's not the rules its the way the umpires are coached to "interpret" them.

He also knocked back an offer from North who won two flags and would have won another two with him in the side.

I have a copy of that - its not pristine obviously being a VHS conversion from 35 years ago but I'll try and find an upload that too. For years I only had the ABC replay of the 2nd half but managed to get a copy of the full game (plus some footage in the rooms post game from memory).

I watched it last night, great memories - Yze, Bruce and Johnstone were silk and Farmer lived up to his nickname that season, what a bloody legend. Great to see Daniher, Schwarz, Neitz, Robbo, White etc great team just missed some mongrel and defensive structure. Hopefully we've got the mix right this time.

It wouldn't really surprise me if that is the case. It's nowhere near what it was in previous eras in large part due to changes in society and the demographic of AFL crowds compared to previous generations.

To me that's the whole point of this research - to have some verifiable data that can be used to put pressure on the AFL to take real action. Having said that, besides the Adam Goodes incidents (which I only witnessed on tv) the only real racism I can recall witnessing was at a Saints game in the late 90s. This Saints supporter was getting stuck into Farmer making idiotic comments about petrol sniffing etc I called him out on it and asked him if he had forgotten about a guy named Nicky Winmar. We went on to belt them in that game (98 semi) so he was pretty quiet after that anyway. I generally sit at ground level in the AFL members but I reckon you get more of the idiots sitting in GA or up on level 4 particular those groups of younger guys who go to the footy to get [censored] and mouth off. You probably don't see that as much in the MCC or club reserved members areas.

I don't think they are really worried about the teachers - it's all the parents mingling/hanging around during drop off/pick up time especially primary schools.

We can leave the home but where can we go? Ridiculous you still can't have visitors over, I don't think many people will be taking these rules seriously. It's great the kids are back at school though, really there was no need to keep them home these last two weeks. They need the interaction and support and positive reinforcement, being stuck at home was unnecessary.

De Goey ripped us apart that day too. 2018 was a long time ago.
