  1. GWS played a home game against the Hawks at the G today. I think at the end of the day those sorts of things are just going to be "tough luck". If the interstate sides hub in Vic they can get away with normal rounds using MCG/Docklands/Kardinia over Thurs-Sun or even Monday if needed. The only reason they would need a footy frenzy would be so the AFL can keep their promise of no hubs for longer than 3 weeks. Well at the end of the day if options are limited that will have to be off the table. Club's may end up having to hub for minimum a month (maximum 3 months) depending on how long outbreaks/border closures etc last in other states.
  2. They will not reduce game time. Have to have the same rules for the entire season, was the reason given as to why they couldn't revert back to normal game time last year for finals/once the frenzy was completed.
  3. Good idea
  4. We might get lucky and play Port, Suns and West Coast in Melbourne
  5. If they move any further right they'll be to the right of Mussolini.
  6. We should torch the Giants next week, they have been pathetic today.
  7. Lowlight of the game was some [censored] stealing a top from the Demon Shop at half time. I went down to get the number 5 put on my son's guernsey and the staff realised someone had bolted out and stolen a sweater or hoodie or something. I mean seriously, if you barrack for the club why would you pinch something from their own store???
  8. In the last 5 minutes alone; - Rivers pushed straight in the back while taking his kick out of the back pocket - no free - Hooker throws the ball over his head (just prior to the Tippa/Harmes HTB they're up in arms about) - no free - Kozzie tackled around the neck - HTB against There was another blatant one in the 3rd where TMac tackled Merrett and was paid holding the man against. The Petracca one they're also whinging about that they think should've been holding the ball probably should have been a free to us for a sling tackle (one arm pinned, 360 sling, head hits the ground) The whinging from their supporters was ridiculous, the persecution complex infiltrated their players so Merrett, Smith, Stringer etc were more worried about the umps than the footy.
  9. You did better than me, I was pissing myself??

  11. That was clearly a point - surely the ball has to have left his boot before it crosses the line?? Of course with the crappy cameras the AFL is working with you don't actually see anything, just a blur of yellow. Amateur hour.
  12. Yeah but 10 of them went to Spargo ?
  13. Mate he's what, 19? Give him a break, pretty much helped get us over the line against Brisbane a few weeks back.
  14. Mate you should try living near them! I'm right smack bang in the middle of Bomber heartland, only a 5 minute drive from Windy Hill.
  15. Were sitting on top of the ladder, 12-2 and two ganes clear of second but we're not getting anywhere near the cup? Sure we can play better but come on, credit where it's due. We towelled up the Lions and Dogs less than a month ago, Port, Geelong, West Coast woukd he 50/50 games at worst.
  16. It was extremely loud at the ground. Felt like way more than 20k there that's for sure.
  17. I wasn't gonna go into this until another time but oliver was really frustrating tonight, not taking first options, running forward then stopping and going backwards, lairising. Our inside 50s were deplorable especially in the first half as well - having said that nail some of those set shots we missed and we would've been up by 7 goals at 3/4 time
  18. I thought it was great, allowed my kids to fully understand why Essendon are my most hated team. Absolute nuffies, my 8yo just kept saying what a bunch of sooks they are and my 5yo asked me to lift him up at the end of the game so he could tell the Essendon supporters to shut up ? Scrappy win, we still look slightly off - I wonder if they're going through a block of intense training at the moment to prep them for the back end of the season? They look a bit sluggish, kicks not making distance, pressure not there, a bit of sloppiness in the ball handling. Hopefully they sort it out, 2 games clear on top gives us leeway but we can come back to the pack pretty quickly.
  19. I think they do (or used to) at Docklands but don't think so at the G. Haven't been stopped using jnr tickets this year anyway.
