Dawes for pick 18 is a massive win for collingwood. He is slow, not a great kick and makes poor Decisions. He can take a good mark but for someone his size you would expect that. He is not even close to a top 5 pick. Hasn't played consistant footy since 2006 and he is a front runner, you wont find him banging in when were 30 points down. Don't get carried away with the hype of a player like him. If he falls through to the PSD then maybe consisider if there are no other options. Just sore him on tv and he is on crutchers, it has to be a worry espicially when he is asking 500000 to 600000 over 3 to 4 years

To finish in the top 8 next year we will need to knock out another team. The top 5 teams this year will be there next year, carlton brisbane and essendon are all young teams that will improve next year. Throw into the mix hawthorn and there is not much space there for the melbourne footy club. I like your optimism but i think were a couple of years away. Miller must stay. He is actuly an ok player. As a lead up half forward type he is very effictive and as melbournes ball use improves so will he. We need some size to support jarrah and watts as they develope. We want to win games next year and a forward line with jarrah and watts as key forwards will struggle but add miller and we might steal a few extra wins
